More sidewall means more comfort and (subjectively) looks better since it fills in the wheel well. Wider means more grip and also the tires stick out more and protects better against curb rash.

You can't rotate front and back with staggered sizes. You'll need new wheels and new tires for a squared setup if you want to rotate front and back.

With all of those factors, your best bet is to get the MYLR's Gemini wheels with the wheel covers.

What tires were you using before? The efficiency loss can be partially explained by these factors, as opposed to them simply being wider and heavier: new tires can be stickier since you increased overall diameter, your efficiency would be off by a similar percentage. You're actually getting...
