Why are TACC, AP (and ?FSD) so bad?

Datapoint (and an opinion, and then a whine): Drove from SoCal to Boulder, CO (via I-40) and back (via I-70) this past spring break. I own a 2019 Model 3 Base RWD with no AP and a 2023 Model Y Dual Motor LR that we drove this time. The Model Y phantom braked more than 10 times on this road trip...

Budget cooler for Model Y sub trunk found

At $418 it doesn't quite meet my "budget" criteria :)

Budget cooler for Model Y sub trunk found

It closes all the way with an inch to spare. Also, if it's above the sub trunk, just in the cargo area, it also fits under the cargo privacy cover too. It really is the perfect size in my opinion.

Budget cooler for Model Y sub trunk found

Hello! Just thought I'd share a little success story. I was wanting a simple cooler for the Model Y (2023) rear sub trunk that wasn't a mega insulated $200 "investment" No. I just want to keep some groceries cool and the trunk clean for the ride home from the store. I started my search by...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Adding to my previous data point - (Installed 3/8 OD tubing with instant boominess reduction): With the boominess gone, I noticed road/wind noise more. I think we can consider this a support group at this point! So I got two 10 Feet packages of "D-Shape Weather Strip EPDM, 0.55" Height x 0.47"...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Vinyl installation advice: The "Specialist Silicone" WD-40 spray I got comes with an integrated straw. The gasket has tiny little air holes spaced out along it every foot or so. I "spritzed" each hole along the gasket to lube up the insides. Be sure to also lube up the tubing before inserting! I...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Thank you! Apologies, I missed it. Went back re-watched and saw you do it at 21:23 this time around. I really appreciate you sharing your experience! I bet you're helping a lot of people with your simple vinyl stent idea. The stent is such a huge improvement that I want to rest on my laurels for...

    Ear pain/Pressure help

Datapoint, first attempt! Summary: Big improvement! I was able to reduce boominess thanks to @ilovecoffee 's idea of the vinyl tubing stent (how I describe it to my friends) in the rear hatch seal. That's all I've done; nothing else. Huge reduction in boominess and car is that much better to...
