One of the reason's that the Ludicrous upgrade might almost be a no brainer for P85D owners in Canada.

Assuming Edmonton gets a SC in the next year, a SC in Jasper (and a charging option in Edson) would open up another route into the park. Right now, I will have to use the old ICE car if I want to go see the Tour of Alberta Stage 4 in Jasper in September.

When I registered my car, the agent had an issue finding it in the system because it was listed under "sports car" instead of "sedan" - guess the registration system thinks that the roadster is the only Tesla model, just wait until the X :rolleyes: Oh, and of course it's registered as "gas"...

Quick and dirty picture from detailers FB page after I got it wrapped in Xpel, been waiting for spring to get the 'glamour' shots with the 21" wheels. I will say one thing, I don't think any other Tesla colour varies as much as this one in different lighting conditions.

Should have a meet up in Red Deer, not quite as nice scenery as Canmore, but more central to both Calgary and Edmonton. Might force me to swap wheels sooner than latter, instead of waiting til Easter.

Weather was nice today, so did a Sunday drive from Edmonton to Red Deer and back to set a baseline for .167 firmware and to use a Supercharger for the first time. Leg 1 - 166.0 km, 40.7 kwh - Avg. Energy 245 Wh/km Temperature was about -12 in Edmonton and -7 in Red Deer, very slight headwind...

What did you pay this time for the wrap? I got full Xpel Ultimate in Edmonton for $4600 + GST

My assumption is that the rotors develop a thin layer of "rust" like most cars when exposed to humidity, but because we rarely use the brakes because of regen, it doesn't get removed right away and we get brake squeaks.

Not like some of the media reporting that when you push the insane button the car immediately accelerates to 60 in 3 sec :rolleyes:

Since this was my first firmware update, how long do they usually take to install? I swear it took over an hour and was worried for a little while that I "bricked" my car.

How new is the car? The TPMS has changed recently and previous sensors won't work.

Base model was $3000 less ($74,800) and P85 upgrade was $500 less ($25,000) before the updates.

Ordered a P85D this morning. Been sitting on the fence for the last 6 months waiting for the AWD version. Noticed that the Canadian ordering page went down in the middle of the day and some of the base prices were adjusted upwards when it came back online.
