Chrysler 200 - What I think Model 3 should look like.

Can't go wrong copying Mazda. (I'm biased though)

Tesla Model C Concept Design Study

I hope they don't go with an ugly clown car look like all the other EVs have. Just a normal sedan please. They can make it look a bit exotic, but not goofy. Edit: also, for the record: I haven't seen a single concept drawing of the Model 3 that didn't look like a clown car--except for the one...

Slightly more 'Radical' or a smaller 'Model S'...

As long as it isn't "radical" like all those clown car EVs.

Where is the Model X Test Mule? Is there one?

Rather than slide down the price (pissing people off in the process) they would probably improve the car, like they've been doing all along. The price benefits would come into play when they introduce new models *under* their flagship model.

Where is the Model X Test Mule? Is there one?

You guys keep posting comparison photos without scaling the images correctly -.- You won't get a good comparison on the length if the scaling on the wheel diameter isn't 1:1 - - - Updated - - - Actually, what we've been comparing is the wheelbase, which can't change much as the skateboard...

Where is the Model X Test Mule? Is there one?

We must be looking at different pictures, because in the ones I saw, none of the Model X pictures had their wheels scaled and lined up correctly (rear wheel or front wheel) Also, a little angling difference doesn't make a big difference in length, as I've already mentioned. edit: but it would...

Could disguised Model X actually be a Model 3 test mule?

That's actually not a bad idea.

Could disguised Model X actually be a Model 3 test mule?

First of all, there are no "statistics" involved here, just geometry. Second, I opened the image in GIMP (an image editor like photoshop), and measured the diameter of the wheel. It is about 75 pixels, not 30. Third, the error from the resolution would be 2/75 = 2.6%, which still isn't relevant...

Where is the Model X Test Mule? Is there one?

"the resolution of the video is so low at the distance that single pixels alone create major margins of error" huh???? no they don't. There's plenty of resolution, and a single pixel isn't going to make a difference. "makes half of its front overhang almost disappear" Why does the front...

Where is the Model X Test Mule? Is there one?

I mentioned this in the other thread, but even if the angle is off by 10%, that would only make a 1.5% difference in the apparent length in the video. The picture that's been floating around is close enough to dead-on that it is ok to make comparisons with.

Starting up the car, put the reverse, creep mode on, and the brake does not work

Yeah, it would be like the fires except there would *actually* be a safety concern this time.

Could disguised Model X actually be a Model 3 test mule?

Not exactly. They are still reusing the Model S' base. Changing the battery options doesn't imply a change to the base, and they wouldn't be able to cheaply shorten the base. Tesla may write the rules, but that doesn't mean some things aren't predictable. As for whether the vehicle is actually...

    Lurking on Tesla Short/Bear Websites

We could probably make a decent list of SeekingAlpha commenters who throw ******** right back at the shorts, making us look bad in the process.

Where is the Model X Test Mule? Is there one?

Actually, the owner of some media file can put hidden watermarks in it. Each 3rd party vendor would get the same media, but with a custom watermark so that the owner can tell who leaked the media. - - - Updated - - - Well, if a 3rd party vendor took the photo, and the vendor was under NDA...

    little worried

Can't add *hardware* features. But the hardware is there, and autopilot is a software feature, so this is just a matter of flipping some bits.
