Supercharger - Hagerstown (Venture Drive), MD

Just to follow up, it looks like we're up and cranking at full speed. Charge rate peaked at 240kW when I stopped there this evening.

Supercharger - Hagerstown (Venture Drive), MD

I just came through there an hour ago. The area is fenced off, but the rear exit road is open to through traffic. I work just a couple minutes away from this location, so I'll be sure to swing by to take pictures tomorrow.

Supercharger - Hagerstown (Venture Drive), MD

Construction is now in full swing! I feel like a kid in anticipation of Christmas morning! This is like 2014 all over again when Prime Outlets SC was in a push to be completed in time for the Coast to Coast Rally!

    Aftermarket Wheels on Model 3

It's nice to see a setup that closely matches what I have in mind. I've been "chasing my tail" for just over two years myself. The plan is to run the same tire and wheel size with a +45 offset and 15mm spacers in the back. I'm just waiting for the temperatures to get back to somewhat tolerable...

    Why Tesla Will Fail

@neroden I didn't read the entire thread, so I hope this wasn't already mentioned, but have you contacted your legislators about Senate Bill 6600 and Assembly Bill 8248? This is something you would benefit from directly as Tesla would be allowed to extend their state presence to 15 locations...

The owner is an employee. He sounds like an engineer based on his responses.

    tsla.com = buick?

Wow, I'd like to think I helped make a difference, but honestly, all I did was vent to some poor buick online chat rep.

    tsla.com = buick?

I just had a chat with their rep on the website to express my opinion of this practice. I suggest others do the same. :)

Tesla vs. Magnuson Moss - Resolved In Time For Model 3?

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! +1 here. Not to mention the 1.5 hour drive for some of us.

Tesla vs. Magnuson Moss - Resolved In Time For Model 3?

Ha! The only thing I'm willing to sign is for them to drive the car for me (while I remain on standby ready to take over if necessary, of course!). I'll take care of the maintenance though. Funny thing, I remembered this thread on my way home from work this afternoon when the "low washer"...

Tesla vs. Magnuson Moss - Resolved In Time For Model 3?

We're talking about servicing basic mechanical parts of the car. No parts of the systems in question could possibly be affected by an OTA. Besides, someone who does their own maintenance is typically up to date on what's going on with the car, and the updates it has gone through since the last...

    Vegan option?

Relatively speaking, of course. Tag suggestion is on the right track! :) P.S. your avatar creeped me out for a split second... had to do a double take! I think they took the best course of action. This way, they cater to those who request it without scaring off those who aren't making their...

    Vegan option?

Respectfully, I really hope they don't actually call it vegan if they expect the masses to accept and adopt the available material option. I may like it better than leather anyway, I just wouldn't appreciate the "lifestyle choice" weight I'm afraid would come with its purchase. In my opinion...

Tesla vs. Magnuson Moss - Resolved In Time For Model 3?

Personally, I have very little trust in anyone working on any of my cars. Having my dashcam running during services such as wheel alignment and state inspection only proved my theory to be true. The minute your car leaves your sight, the once friendly service manager/tech/specialist turns into...

    Why a 215 mi range?

BTW, the 0.7 factor in the formula I referenced doesn't just account for low temps, but also normal driving speeds. I don't think anyone who orders M3 plans to drive it like a Leaf. Besides, 215 is the bare minimum EPA range announced. So much can change between now and launch. Keep in mind...

    Why a 215 mi range?

215 x 0.7 = 150. Isn't 150 mile real world range something they deem necessary to make it from SC to SC in the middle of a cold winter trip?

Who pre-ordered before the car was seen?

Reserved at 10:05AM on east coast. Anytime I speak to a rep and mention anything related to online forums, the reply is always the same.... "don't believe anything you read on the forums". So, I will have to place the speculation of free upgrades into my "I'll believe it when I see it" folder.

Am I supposed to receive an e-mail confirmation or?

Just called my store and had them go over my info, and sure enough... a "d" was punched in where a "t" should have gone in my email address. No biggie, as it was rather noisy at the store when the info was being collected.

    Grill Me!

Let's also keep in mind that this isn't a supercar that requires tons of downforce. The idea is to channel the air to the sides instead of trying to cut under it with a pointed hood. I believe the some call it "zero lift" front end.

Some of those young people knew about the car for several years, and have been (and will be until their turn to configure) investing and saving up for it.

This is great! I'm seeing a pattern that confirms I'm not the only one with a negative opinion of the floating screen and lack of instrument cluster. Keep it going! We all hope Santa is watching. The more feedback, the better. And it matters now while we are still in prototype stage, since...

I'm aware. I took that as it replacing the fixed front glass or sunroof options, but not the rear glass.

    Steel body complaints

It has also been said that steel has different crumple properties from aluminum, and was necessary to improve frontal crash test ratings given a smaller front crumple zone and the fact that the front seat passengers are placed a good bit closer to the front of the interior.

List what you LIKE/DISLIKE about Model 3 Prototype - Please share your opinions

I'm sure many here will agree that the best way for us to speak up about what we found desirable vs. what we wish gets changed before production is to voice our opinions here. Maybe there is an easier way, but I'd like to see who liked/disliked what about the prototypes. While keeping it...

Potential BOLT customers being suctioned up by Tesla !

I gotta disagree with the $10,000 figure here... The Bolt architecture can only be attributed to something like the Sonic, which has a $14,300 msrp. So essentially the Bolt looks like it's $20,700 cheaper than the 3. Ouch. It doesn't take much figuring to realize that paying a $23,200 premium...

Am I supposed to receive an e-mail confirmation or?

Ordered at 10:05AM in Bethesda MD, and no email or traces of the transaction on My Tesla account. The only reassuring thing is that my CC did show a pending charge right away, which posted April 1st. Not complaining by any means, just adding to the sample size. ;)

    Show Us Your Tents!!

Update from Bethesda... security moved us all back to the front of the mall entrance, again. It is really starting to look like a night club, with extra "VIP" rope poles being brought out. Oh, and fun fact... people entering the mall are asking whether this is the new IPhone line!

    Show Us Your Tents!!

Checking in from Bethesda. There is easily 30+ people here. We have all just been moved from the mall entrance to the storefront. It's a weird feeling as we are all being perceived as a bunch of school children, being yelled at by mall security. :-)

    Trouble adding a profile picture.

I've been lurking for years, I didn't actually register on the forums until late 2014, and didn't really start posting until just recently. What I've found is that you need a minimum amount of posts to be able to add/edit your avatar.

Current non-Tesla owners who plan to buy a Model ≡ ; Have you test driven a Model S?

No, because I'm literally scared of completely turning away from all other cars. This is coming from someone who considers himself an auto enthusiast, who has already changed his entire outlook on cars since the MS has been released, and made a name for itself in the automotive performance...

Model 3 is Officially Model Ξ

    Model 3 roll-out speculation

I still believe the fully optioned cars will be north of $70k at release time. They'll have the task of making up for the low margins of the $35k bare bones cars being sold by offering high profit options. It isn't much different from the formula applied to the Model S, except this time they...

    Model 3 roll-out speculation

All we kept hearing back in 2011 was that a 300 mile range sedan was coming, which would start at $50k. Last I checked, its ASP was roughly double the originally announced starting price. Hence Model S has not been referred to as the "$50k sedan" since its release. The 40 didn't take long to...

    Supercharger - Allentown, PA

Just chiming in to venture a guess that this site may not be live until at least the end of the month. Judging by how long it took to get the Hagerstown SC online after it was complete, I'd say these guys have their work cut out for them. The Hagerstown crew was pushing to get things done in...
