    Superchargers in Australia

The government really need to get a better map. For one thing the Barkly Homestead isn't on it... https://maps.google.com.au/maps?oe=UTF-8&hl=en&client=safari&um=1&ie=UTF-8&fb=1&gl=au&ll=-19.710707,135.827525&z=15&cid=4346629544340703677&q=Barkly+Homestead+Wayside+Inn

    List of confirmed Australian Orders

Haven't been posting up until now because I've been busy driving. Took delivery on Christmas eve, after they were able to sneak a few random extra cars through. It did its duties admirably on Christmas day, running around to all the different venues, and I've been loving it ever since. Pictures...

3-phase 32 amp recharge for model S with dual chargers

Not quite right -- the current for a solar array in series is limited by the current for the highest performing panel (to an approximation -- the MPPT/Inverter will drop the current back to the right level to get the maximum power possible out of the array if it's doing its job correctly)...

    Tesla in Australia

Sweet! I reckon that'll end up being our charging option of choice, given no real on-street charging infrastructure around Darlinghurst.

You guys will need to look out for my wife and her friend. I'll need to live vicariously through Twitter and WhatsApp. :-)

What car will you be coming from?

2001 Corolla -- Big jump for us, and we certainly wouldn't be buying such a nice car if it wasn't the only really practical all-electric option. I don't drive a car usually (walk to work), but my wife drives 50 km each way from Central Sydney to work in the North West.

    World Solar Challenge

Hi everyone, For a long time, I've been involved with the World Solar Challenge http://www.worldsolarchallenge.org -- 40 custom-built electric solar vehicles compete to be the fastest to cross from Darwin down to Adelaide. It's an awesome event travelling through some amazing landscapes. The...

    Electric charging in QLD

I'm pretty good mates with the Tritium boys from my days with solar powered cars (they make the three phase converters used by virtually all teams, and I was working on the controllers with them right at the start). They're extremely technically competent, and are well aware of the Mennekes...

Thanks! Air suspension -- Just the extra dollars for a feature that I didn't think would really give me a huge amount. Air suspension was in the "nice to have" category!

    List of confirmed Australian Orders

I've been considering the same thing. We have about a half-width footpath out the front of our house, and it would be easy to install a power point of some sort in a reasonably convenient location. We get that parking spot regularly enough that it would work well, and the neighbours wouldn't...

That would be pretty sweet... Still not as convenient as kerbside charging stations, but definitely workable. My wife drives about an hour to work each day, so it's just over the 500km mark. I walk. She's told me I get to have a go on weekends. :-).

Potts point eh? I'm in Darlinghurst without off-street parking. I'm still working out exactly how to charge the new car. I've got an HPWC installed at my parents' place in Coogee, but it'd be nice to avoid trekking over there two nights a week to charge... (Although I'm sure they'd love it!)...
