    SpaceX Falcon 9 FT launch - Thaicom 8 - SLC-40

Why does the side view look like the rocket is leaning quite a bit to one side? Optical illusion or bent leg?

    CRS-8 Landing Drone Footage?

It looks like the landing legs are adjusting for a slanted deck? If so that is impressive!

    SpaceX Falcon 9 FT launch - SES 9 - SLC-40

As the LOX warms up it would expand, requiring the ship to vent as the pressure rises? No?

    SpaceX Falcon 9 FT launch - SES 9 - SLC-40

    yes I did mean warm up !!! ;-) - - - Updated - - - I think they are aborting the launch until tomorrow. - - - Updated - - - Nope, they announced the incorrect date, its go 4 launch!

    SpaceX Falcon 9 FT launch - SES 9 - SLC-40

Clock reset to 10+ minutes, waiting for range issue to clear. I wonder how long they can hold before the LOX cools to much for launch?

    Ryno Motors

There is so little news out of Ryno I get the feeling its DOA. Either they ran our of money or they ran into an insurmountable problem...

Orbital taps ULA for rides to ISS

Well, I figured hitching a ride on a Falcon would be too bitter a pill to swallow for Orbital! But then its entirely possible that SpaceX could not meet a promised launch date considering they only made about half of their expected lanches this year. Private Cargo Spacecraft Gets New Rocket...

Will Dragon V2 be ready for deep space?

I think thats a pretty weak excuse. Elon is not know for being shy or letting anybody trash his projects. I can only assume Orion is actually better suited for deep space as all the latest articles state.

Will Dragon V2 be ready for deep space?

I would like to see an official rebuttal to this claim about Orion being more deep space capable than Dragon V2. If it really is as capable I would have thought Elon would have blasted it out ot the media? Why the silence?

Will Dragon V2 be ready for deep space?

I keep hearing in articles about the new Orion space craft, that the Dragon V2 is not built for deep space. I'm assuming they are talking about the crafts electronics and possible other equipment's resilience to radiation? Oh, and I guess this radiation shileding would apply to humans on...

    Future launch manifest

Just checked the Launch Manifest and see that SpaceX has removed all the dates from the future missions? It did look weird that they were missing most of the launches...... The Track record of F1.1 is fantanstic in that they are 100% successful so far. Not so good if you look at promissed vs...

    Dragon 2 test at Cape?

Exactly! I would expect noise like this http://spacefellowship.com/news/art41848/orion-abort-motor-igniter-test.html concerning Dragon2 during the runup to the test at the cape... Which as planned is coming up real soon.

Virgin Galactic SpaceShip 2 Test Flight Crash 2014-10-31

It appears the speed of deployment in the media release was classic news information fubar. The tail feathered, uncommanded they are saying, during the powered ascent stage. A big no-no as the ship is not designed to be accelerated with the rocket in the feathered attitude. Aerodynamic...

    Dragon 2 test at Cape?

I realize there is a planned required test at the cape. One would think they would do multiple tests at the Texas facilitie before the NASA required test is done. With video to show how cool it works! Of course if the test breaks the Dragon becasue it would land on dry ground with a parachute...

    Dragon 2 test at Cape?

Still waiting for news about testing the abort/landing system being used on Dragon2? Are they testing it in Texas under wraps?

Virgin Galactic SpaceShip 2 Test Flight Crash 2014-10-31

Isn't it amazing how wrong the first reports/guesses were! I don't recall any suggestion of a control surface malfuction or missdirected control input. Even this report of premature feathering is somewhat early and most likely doesn't tell the whole story.

    Dragon 2 test at Cape?

Got it! ;-) Be nice to watch it if SpaceX or Nasa provide live video! I think I read that this "truss based" test will use a parachute and land in the water vs using the thusters to land it on land.

    Dragon 2 test at Cape?

You have a funy way of saying no , "no Static" test, yes "Static test"! :-) Using the super draco's to blast off from a truss structure, is a static test! A dynamic test would be to do it from a moving rocket.... Anybody know of when this is planned and if it will be broadcast live? Scott

    Dragon 2 test at Cape?

Isn't there a static test of the Dragon's escape system using the Supper Dracos coming up soon?
