My car completed yesterday (or this morning?). Spoke to my DS this afternoon and she said it was prepping for transport via train. She didn't want to give me a date still until it was on the way. I told her to give me a guess and I wouldn't hold her to it and she said maybe Monday or Tuesday...

Spoke to my DS this afternoon and she mentioned something I don't recall anyone talking about... they are shipping cars (some?) via train. I wonder if that's faster getting to the midwest and east?

Status changed from in build to prep for delivery sometime last night between 2AM CST and 7AM CST. Started production on the 24th of Oct. Still waiting on my DS to call me back to get more details.

Haven't had many 'hole'rs' finish today like we did yesterday....

In for $200. Would love to help coordinate this. With this large of an order and some notice it probably would be easy to get a chain to make the pizzas and deliver. What if we set up a crowd funding page for people to make donations to? Let me know what I can do to help!

your post doesn't explain why some cars are being shipped out with old seats and why people who ordered textile seats are also in the group in limbo. If it was just the seats why are they not just shipping these with the old seats and offering to retro? Why does the guy with textile seats have...

Just saw on the delivery thread a guy had his go into production and then complete in about three days. 3 weeks on one side.... 3 days on the other. There is more to it then the seats.

Sent an email. Will post if he replies.

Can anyone share Jerome's email address. I want to ask him to explain why if the seats are the problem some folks have flown through the production line while others are sitting. Just doesn't make sense.

How does this address the fact that people started after us who are complete? If it is just the seats why aren't they using the seats they had ear marked for cars further down the line. What am I missing here? I would think first in first out rather than first in last out...

By the time your car is in production something else will be new...

Congrats MarcG! Nice to finally have a confirmed delivery. I find it interesting that people have had cars go in later than the first batch that are now showing completed. My car went into production on the 24th and still shows it's in production. Two possibilities in my head- 1) Dashboard...

I'm a 'the estimated date of the 17th is still possible however I am still unable to confirm an exact date until the vehicle moves into transit'. Been in production since the 24th going to Chicago. So no, not a confirmed scheduled pickup.

Same here in Chicago but different DS. No date of delivery and no date of shipment. Been in production since the 24th so I would think I must be close to the end of testing.

I checked and nothing from them in spam. O well, not a big deal.

I like Osama! Partly because he says many things I'm thinking without having to piss anyone off myself. The other part is because I'd like to fly his TBM. just bought into a King Air... Needed the additional seats and the wife needed the extra spinning windmill.

I think he is really upset about the absolute lack of communication and the miscommunication from Tesla staff. Why some DSs are telling some people it's due to the seats not being ready and others are saying it's because of the window stickers is beyond me. My particular DS has no clue of the...

I suspect Tesla shut it down. They didn't want us to be able to track how slow the line is moving. :smile:

Agree completely. Might have been a huge factor in my decision to switch from the P85 to the D. Depends on how much of a decrease.

Don't they have a separate line that is handling the D models. I would think it would take too much time to change production programing and staging for a week delay.

I tend to think it's something bigger than this due to the lack of communication. Come on Tesla- you're better than not filling in your early D adopters.

Heard from my DS this morning. Car is in General Assembly. I think she is setting low expectations for me but she scheduled me for delivery on the 17th. Seems like an awful long time to get from CA to Chicago.
