My 2018 X failed to maintain a connection to Lee as of this morning. Near San Diego.

My Flux Capacity is on the fritz.

    FSD Beta v11.x

If you slowed at the "Warning, 40 mph zone ahead" sign, you would have a long lineup of angry drivers behind you.

    FSD Beta v11.x

You are going to have to trust me on this one: If you are still doing 60 when you reach that 40 mph sign, you will be standing on the brakes - hard! - immediately. If you happen to live near Yorba Linda, why not SAFELY give it a try?

Supercharger - Buellton, CA (temporary closure)

Hmmmmm....I was planning to stop there this weekend!

    FSD Beta v11.x

Will report back when I get V12. Hope to also get the city to move the 40 mpg sign just to do a comparative test.

    FSD Beta v11.x

That is not how it works. FSD starts slowing when it reaches the sign. Since you know the area, give it a go. Safely! Approach the bridge at 60, then don't let up on the throttle until you are alongside the 40 mpg sign. Few thrills will top that in your day!

    FSD Beta v11.x

Here is a specific situation in which FSD in both of our cars performs identically every time we come to this intersection. I will try to find someone at Tesla to share it with....and I am posting it here in hopes that someone at Tesla is patrolling this forum. I will also try to contact the...

    Yoke vs Steering

It sounds like you fell victim to the same interpretation as I did. What the system is looking for is an occasional TURN of the steering wheel, not a squeeze.

    Yoke peeling

A friend with Plaid called to ask what I had done. He is on Yoke #3, and Tesla has told him that the next one will cost him...even though the person told him that they are having serious quality problems on the yoke. He is not happy, but not willing to change to a wheel...which is apparently the...

California Utilities Plan All Out War On Solar, Please Read And Help

How many people agree that if states had forced their utilities to conform to a renewable energy scale-up, there would have been no need for incentives for individual homeowners to install their own solar panels? A well-managed utility could have added renewables, charging higher rates while...

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

We have seen much higher power levels from our local Urban Superchargers than to the new 250 kW units.

California Utilities Plan All Out War On Solar, Please Read And Help

It just does not seem like a utility charge by income would stand up in front of the US Supreme Court.

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Here is the latest. Any chance Tesla has slowed down these chargers at the request of the merchants?

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Today, I plugged in to see if the charge rate had increased. It went down to 35kWh. Anyone have a guess as to what is happening?

California Utilities Plan All Out War On Solar, Please Read And Help

The utilities don't care where the money comes from. The concept of an income-based utility fee is from the bureaucrats and politicians.

California Utilities Plan All Out War On Solar, Please Read And Help

Yes....the reality check is that California believes anyone with a high income is evil and both a polluter and racist.

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

I plugged in today and found a max of about 65 kW. These are V3 (250 kW) Superchargers, so something is amiss. Is it possible that Tesla has some kind of agreement with the shopping center to slow charging so drivers will visit the retail stores?

California Utilities Plan All Out War On Solar, Please Read And Help

In the two months since I reported my plans in this forum, Tesla has released an update to the Tesla App that allows Charge on Solar capabilities that are exactly what I was looking for! Here is a summary of what I now see most days here in Southern California. Yes, California is now planning...

Up and running! We now have 16 SCs in Yorba Linda……and we need more! Tesla has been extremely successful in selling to this city.

I need to know, also. My golf buddy showed up in an ultra-red S....and my white 2022 S suddenly just sucks.

    Yoke vs Steering

    Display Reability

Moderator note: This is a combination of two identically-started threads. OK...I am old. BUT....my eyes are still pretty good. Does it seem to anyone else that the font size and color on the display are too hard to read....especially when it is important and you have only fractions of second to...

    Yoke vs Steering

I bought a 2022 S at a time when there was no wheel option. Pleasant on the highway. Horrible in parking lots. Some close calls. The quality is so poor that it started to delaminate at six months. In 2023, Tesla changed my yoke to a wheel at no cost to me. I am much happier. I notice that both...

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

Update: So, it looks like the moment that I connected was just minutes after the installation team complete their phase of the work. I returned a few hours ago, and indeed, it appears that the main transformer has not been installed. Covers have been put on the chargers.

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

There are another eight V3s just a quarter of a mile to the east. So, YL - also known as Teslatown - now has 16 SC V3s. More to come, I hope.

California Utilities Plan All Out War On Solar, Please Read And Help

Correct. That is my issue. Hopefully, someone at Tesla will grasp that some of us need that. I can guess at it, of course, but that is not the same as planning it carefully. I should add that it seems clear that as our utility (SCE) seeks to find ways to extra money from those who invested so...

California Utilities Plan All Out War On Solar, Please Read And Help

I am retired. I have Teslas. I have solar. I have batteries. So....after the solar charges up my batteries, I could direct my solar to charging our cars. BUT....while I can manually make that happen, I don't know a way for my all-Tesla system to do this for me. Does anyone know of a solutions?

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA (LIVE 25 May 2023, 8 stalls)

Will check it out again today, but those photos look quite real. Commercial permitting at that place have at least one significant problem involved the then-city council member. (There was a Wendy's there, but it was not allowed to have a drive-through window!)

Supercharger - Yorba Linda, CA - Yorba Linda Blvd (LIVE 21 Nov 2023, 8 V3 stalls)

This is a very handy location for many....and much needed in Yorba Linda, which some of us labeled Teslatown about seven years ago. Tesla's are everywhere in this town!

    FSD issue

In hopes that Tesla checks this site, some feedback on strange FSD/NAV actions here in SoCal. Exiting 71N to take a left turn on Soquel Canyon Parkway, the car gets in the proper left lane to make the turn, then violently tries to turn right. The system map suggest that it might not believe the...
