How best to contact Tesla about unacceptable changes in "v7" dashboard.

After spending over an hour behind the wheel with V7, I'm almost thinking some of the new GUI "features" are actually a bit dangerous. The small fonts and numeric values force me to focus on the display rather than see things via peripheral vision. I'm talking about the TACC setting, speed...

How best to contact Tesla about unacceptable changes in "v7" dashboard.

Even in non-AP mode, the old center gauge is gone. For cars without AP hardware, you're right, it's mostly the same. Maybe I can have the SC disable my AP hardware so I can get a decent center gauge?

    P85D Front Motor Died

My front motor went out at <2000 miles, but the only indication of a problem was messages on the display (front motor disabled, power reduced). There was no stutter or other indication that a problem existed. Reduced power down to 470 Hp in the rear wasn't a big problem. :-) Service center...

Supercharger - Nashville / Brentwood, TN (SC)

This looks perfect for us, going to be visiting Nashville just for a day in July, thinking of driving in from Elizabethtown. Question: earlier in this thread someone posted that Elizabethtown, KY is a stretch from this location, but google is telling me it's only 149 miles (up I65). Seem...

    Road/tire noise?

Thanks JohnQ, I think that was it. The car now has 4 adjustable rubber feet, two on the gate two in the track, which can be turned by hand. I tightened them up (unscrewed them so they stick out more) and the noise is greatly diminished.

    Road/tire noise?

My car was delivered last month, loaner is older. Could this be some sort of air leak? But I'm not hearing wind noise.

    Road/tire noise?

Just got my car back after driving a SC loaner for a week. Loaner had 21" wheels, my car has the factory 19" and Primacy tires. Both have coils. I noticed a big difference in interior sound on semi-bumpy roads, when going 40-50 MPH. Much louder with my car. Sort of a low frequency...

    Tracking P85D w/coils delivery thread

Seems odd that someone got a coils delivery two months ago, back then based on forum posts and DS info they were only manufacturing cars with air. My delivery date is tomorrow - my car was ready last week but I was out of town.

Website/Design Studio Update - Twin Chargers no longer available from factory

Some reasons why I chose dual charger and HPWC - in a word, flexibility: - faster charging on the road if available - HPWC is only $150 more than the extra charging cable, garage wiring was only $100 more for 100A vs 50A - fast charging at home to fit in cheapest rate window at night - fast...

How useful is replacement value on insurance policy?

Isn't replacement value the same as gap insurance?

Loan options - invest more or pay more down?

Actually the more I look at the numbers, I forgot to factor in the savings of the monthly payment due to option (a) being a shorter term loan, this tends to wipe out the advantage gained by investing the original down payment with option (b), unless one assumes a much higher ROI than 6%.

Loan options - invest more or pay more down?

I've been playing around with numbers a lot this weekend, looking at different loan terms and interest rates. I've come down to one fundamental question: which is better:a) to make a large down payment, get 5 year loan <2% b) to invest the down payment, get 7-8 year loan at <3.5% Option (a)...

    Tracking P85D w/coils delivery thread

So far all P85D's delivered all have air suspension. My delivery date was Feb, now it's March (not complaining). Order date 12/4. Just wondering if anyone has entered production yet or taken delivery?

Driving in the future, imagine lots of Tesla-like cars

Today, driving a MS we can pass other cars on the freeway at will. It's like they're all standing still compared to the instant acceleration and passing ability of the MS. Even if we use only moderate (but immediate) acceleration, MS can move around other cars very quickly compared to ICE...

    Highway 1 fatality

With ABS there would not be skid marks even if standing on the brakes? I wonder if Tesla will have any "black box" data on speed, etc?

Anyone tried to get an insurance quote for Model S?

Ditto on State Farm, quoted me $704 for 6 mo and that includes 2 teenagers in the house who drive (they are listed under other vehicles that I own. They told me my rates will go down 10% in 14 months when one teen's parking lot mishap disappears into history.

    P85D sighting / test drives

Just curious, how do you calculate "net force" vs longitudinal acceleration? I would have thought 1g accel would feel like 1g?

    Financing - timing

I wonder if it's possible to "lock in" by 12/31 even if I take delivery after 1/1?

    Financing - timing

For those who've already gone thru the financing process, how did you decide on financing options? I'll explain: If I order today, I'll have to wait until closer to delivery (at least a couple months) before binding a loan, during which time rates or max loan amounts could change. I'm trying...
