My charge port has stopped glowing (red/blue/green/orange) and the car keeps complaining that the charge port door is open. Car received about 2 months ago and has ~1350 miles on it. Goes in for service next week. Sent an email to Tesla and they jumped on it pretty quick.
Is this what you mean...
Been there, done that. Leave the key fob with the car occupant if you are leaving. Otherwise its going to lock and trigger the alarm if a door is opened from inside and you're not around.
I just got a NEMA 14-50 installed yesterday in Seattle, WA. The electrician had to move one breaker to another open spot but nothing else. Also my install was on the wall behind the panel, so the wire run (6 guage) was minimal. My cost was $435 + $150 inspection = $585. Hope that gives you a...
I have a "temporary registration" sticker too. Can't decide what to pick up though. I just got a NEMA 14-50 installed yesterday. Had I known about this I may have considered the HPWC. But then again, I only have a single charger. Is there any benefit from charging using the HPWC over the NEMA plug?
I would so S85, Tech, Pano, Leather as the absolute minimum.
85 - Comes with supercharging and you'll like having the extended range when you feel like driving this car everywhere.
Tech - No brainer. This is a tech heavy car.
Leather - Have you ever tried cleaning vomit from textile seats...
Thanks guys. I called Accutint of Bellevue yesterday to get pricing and here is what they quoted:
Partial Front Kit (about a 4-5 hour process)
Headlights
Front Bumper
Partial hood (front portion)
Partial fenders (front portion)
Side-view mirrors
Door cups
Door edges
$799 ( $679.15 with...
That's a great price KoolJack. Would you recommend them? My Tesla delivery specialist was the one who recommended Accutint in Seattle. In fact they are very close to the Seattle service center where I picked up the car.
I heard back from both NWAS and Metropolitan Detail and here are their...
I certainly think so. One guy said he is going to go buy Tesla stock. Another said that he will wait for Tesla to make an EV work truck to replace his current vehicle after his wife told him next vehicle needed to be a Tesla. They all seemed to agree that this is the way of the future. I showed...
Oops, sorry I should have specified that this is for full front coverage. Which includes, full hood, fenders, mirrors, headlights, fog lamps and door edges. The full wrap is overkill in my opinion.
Hey All,
I picked up by Pearl White S85 on Saturday and wanted to get PPF on it before I become the victim of a rock chip. I am planning to use one of the four providers below. Any recommendation on pricing and who to go with/stay away from?
1. AccuTint of Seattle in Sodo. Quote: $1400 + 10%...
Battery Swap Program to launch next week
Here's the link. It's in beta and it is by invitation only. I wonder how they will judge "demand".

I'll have to look into GAP coverage. Though I decided to put about 20% down, so I don't know if I truly need it. I decided to buy the vehicle instead of leasing and take that small risk of having to deal with depreciated RVG if I get into a fender bender. Here's hoping that I don't jinx myself...
I don't think this qualifies but, I just reserved an inventory vehicle. It supposedly has 11 miles on it and is currently on a truck from Portland to Seattle right now. I pick it up this Saturday.
My reasons:
* No wait
* I got a ~$1K discount for buying a showroom vehicle.
* I can get the tax...
Yes, the 2 options are very close, but "buying" has a larger down payment. If I reduce the down payment to the same amount as the lease ($7K), the difference is reduced even further ~$200.
Agree, that the Tesla buy back is a worst case scenario and would only need to be exercised if S85 prices...
Thanks Spentan. Yeah, the contrast of the pano roof with the pearl white makes for a very elegant looking car. I think the red reflected the raw power better, but also doesn't hide dirt and scratches as well. What do you think of your red?
The panoramic roof also made the inside of the car look...
So should I assume I am good to go ahead and order then? My wife made me switch my mind from the MC Red to Pearl White :). And now she said that the panoramic roof is a must :)
Hello All,
I am looking to pickup an inventory car that is priced at ~$87,800 and am trying to determine if I should lease the car or buy it with the Resale Value Guarantee. I spoke to Tesla finance and they said that the best 60 month loan rate is 2.25%.
The lease residual if I wish to buy the...
