Smartthings and Actiontiles Home Automation Works!!!

I am very happy to see this. Looking forward to getting the update and testing it out myself. Thanks!

    Model S chrome delete

I like it. I can't tell from the pictures, but did you have the chrome around the windows wrapped in carbon fiber pattern vinyl or just a gloss black vinyl?

    P85D top speed

It is a legacy setting. I asked the SC about it and they confirmed that it was set at 130 mph. It was simple request to ask them to bump it up to the current maximum of 155 mph. That being said, I have not tested it, nor do I have any plans to.

Not sure if this has already been shared, but some friends came across this supercharger being built at a Hy-Vee location in Davenport, IA.

EZ-Pass Behind Nosecone With Front License Plate?

Intermittent success, yes. Ultimately couldn't rely on it and hated the idea of going through an unmanned gated toll and being stuck because the transponder didn't trigger correctly that time. I ended up installing the license plate transponder onto the license plate frame as it was designed...

    2016 Model S Refresh Mega-thread

I haven't seen it mentioned yet, but the door sills look to be painted now instead of being black as before.

Yet Another Self Install of the Blackvue DR650GW-2CH

1NJ85D - thanks for the heads up. Just installed the DR650GW-2CH last week and was going to try the Unite Pro hotspot with AT&T and you saved me the trouble. The Pepwave Surf On-The-Go looks exactly what I was looking for. The ability to use wifi when in range and then switch to LTE is great...

Yet Another Self Install of the Blackvue DR650GW-2CH

I realize that it's still new to you, but what do you think of the Blackvue Cloud usability so far? As for the intermittent GPS signal, I remember someone was trying to figure out if an external GPS antenna could be weird in without too much work. I don't recall seeing if they had any luck...

Deadpedal plastic - irritating to my foot

I had the same problem until I installed this - http://formytesla.com/products/model-s/category/15-footrest-dead-pedal.html I can't recall it happening since I installed the dead pedal cover. But you are right, you should be able to make something up that accomplishes the same function, it's...

Louisville to Nashville: Possible in cold weather? Mid point charging options ?

I did the trip from Chicago to Nashville over Christmas as well. The supercharger wasn't live on the way down so we did a hotel stop at 21c in Louisville for the night. But on the way home, we went from downtown Nashville directly to Louisville supercharger and I remeber having over 10%...

    Supercharger - Louisville, KY

Hey guys, I did see your posts just in time and we are now charging at the Louisville supercharger. Literally just took about 6 hours off of my drive to Indianapolis. Thank you to everyone that posted and Tesla for turning it up just in time. The site is active with contractors doing some...

    Supercharger - Louisville, KY

Actually stayed there for a night on the way down, very interesting place and some great people. I highly recommend it as well. The issue is I can get to Louisville but I will have a nearly empty battery and a single charger (40a) which would mean staying another night or a 6+ hour layover as...

    Supercharger - Louisville, KY

If anyone has been past the Louisville Supercharger today and has any news, good or bad, please share. Tomorrow I am leaving from Nashville on the way to Indianapolis and the supercharger being live would be straight shot at 300 miles. My other two options are Nashville - London - Lexington -...

Stopped in tonight, same as before, no lights, no power. Hoping to hear about some progress come Monday.

Improved Trunk lighting - Is there demand?

I was thinking of attempting this with my April P85D. I haven't been able to find any write-ups on it so far, there are some projector puddle light installations that make it seem like everything is there. With Ingineer's comments, I'm feeling pretty hopeful that the wiring will be there and I...

Improved Trunk lighting - Is there demand?

Regarding the rear footwell lights, I remembered a write-up that mentioned the Tesla part number for the mounting brackets if your car didn't come with the premium lighting package. Tesla Part Number 1016677-00-A (x2) From the write-up, it sounds like these were only a few dollars and since...

    EVmote App

A quick heads up, when I just viewed my most recent trip, I get a pop-up saying "Primus connected". The pop-up is reproducible if I click to another trip and back onto the most recent one. Any ideas why?

    EVmote App

Just noticed something that I don't believe has been reported yet. When looking at trips page when the car is static, everything looks correct, however when the car is in motion and I click on a trip that is not the most recent, the right map pane updates to the past trip correctly, but then a...

    Map on my laptop screen

This is mostly likely Google Now. I don't fully understand how it does it, but when I walk up to my car away from home, my Pebble watch will immediately show the time it would take me to get home. No notification on the phone or in the car. My best guess is that when my iPhone that is running...

    Feature Enhancement Idea

I didn't think it was a protocol limitation and just did a quick search on this, it looks like Lexus and other automotive Bluetooth systems regularly let you pair up to two devices with their systems. I would love to see at least two devices possible, even better, allow for profile based...

    "Good" application with tesla

As someone who has used Good in the past, no, there is not a way that I know of to get the Tesla app to see the Good calendar. The whole idea behind Good is to sandbox your corporate email and calendar within the Good application, allowing them to control what you do with it and prevent you...

    Slacker Accounts Controllable Via Profiles?

Sadly no. There is one account that is stored for all user profiles. There is nothing stopping you from logging out and logging in with different Slacker accounts, but I'd imagine you'll find it's not worth the hassle. Many of us do wish they tied user profiles to Slacker and TuneIn accounts...

Want some bag hooks in the back?

These appear to mount where I've seen other people add in strip LED lighting for the trunk. Am I correct in thinking these might interfere with those type of additional trunk lighting systems?

Homelink Doesn't Work with Analog (dipstick) Opener?

Just as a FYI, they are called dip switches I have the same issue, the garage door at work uses multi-code openers that when you look inside the remote it is all dip switches that match the combination on the opener. No luck in getting it to program correctly and can't install another system...

EV Charger Installation on Ask This Old House

I noticed that at the end of the show (IIRC) Tom Silva said he had an electric vehicle for a few years now. Tried searching for any mention of this online when the show originally aired, but no luck. I was wondering if he was a Tesla owner as well or if he chose the Leaf or Volt path.

    Chicago Hotel/Charging Options

PlugShare is your best bet. We have a good amount of traditional EV chargers around the city, mostly in parking garages. I have yet to hear of Chicago hotel participating in the Tesla Destination Charging program.

    Pricing change rant

In the same predicament as some of you guys. Ordered a P85D two months ago. It now is waiting to be picked up, so I did a cost comparison between the pricing when I ordered it and the pricing right now, turns out it is $2,620 less now than when it was ordered. The variable in the mix is the...
