I had this behavior also but I noticed I didn't have my seat belt on, as I was just testing in our parking lot. Once I put my seat belt on it started working!

I don't know if it is "necessary" or not. I just wanted mine to say LTE instead of 3G. It made my 2015 car look old. 3G is so 1990s ;-)

Had my LTE upgrade done yesterday at the Marietta GA Service Center. Much snappier performance on the browser for me - 3G is marginal in my area. No new rattles and all my setting survived, as well.

What it looks like to me is that the Jasper SIM allows them to use the same SIM card internationally and it can also be changed with over the air updates. They just download the carrier profile they want on it and don't need a carrier specific SIM. For example, if they wanted to change...
