    Cybertruck is a scam.

Right on. Love my 2016 dinosaur X. Thank you Elon. You really know how to make a car. Service has been exceptional. My Chevy 3500 s..ks Gladly gave $1,000 to get a beast, hopefully this year

AP 1 what am I missing

At this point I hope I can get 4 more years until warranty expires. It is still a nice car and a pleasure to drive but who wants to drive, I hope I live to see real self driving where I can just say take me there/wherever and wake up when the ride is over.

AP 1 what am I missing

It appears that the range is 175 miles from a 100% battery with heat on and 500 pounds in the rear

AP 1 what am I missing

Navigation on autopilot sounds like a significant improvement. Thank you for replying Standard 20”

AP 1 what am I missing

I do have some range issues but don’t think they are as severe as you are stating. I don’t spare the heat or acceleration. The other day the car seemed to use 100 battery miles for 80 odometer miles. My 90% trip charge is 221. Tomorrow will be cold and I’ll take accurate readings on a 100 mile...

AP 1 what am I missing

Am I missing some self driving features available on newer models? My 2016 with AP1 is wonderful. The only annoyance is having to tug at the steering wheel every so often. The car is coming up on 4 years and 50,000 miles. The extended warranty was purchased. The local service center has fixed...

    2017 Model X P100D Lease Takeover

Some thing is off or you got a very high money factor. 36 x 1845 + 36000 + 90000 = 192000 plus the loss of the tax credit means the interest is $40,000

No major problems with my car! But this is a problem...

I have had no problem with TESLA attending to every issue. They seem to want to please

    Once a week

    Off grid system

Want to build a 24 panel off grid system to charge the car. How many wall units do I need. Do I need inverters.

    All-Weather Lloyd Mats Installed (pics)

52 dollars bought a 4x6 ft piece of 1/8" rubber that did the full second row. The front seat wells I bought a thicker precut set for about $75. In my 6 seat car I keep the third row down and use 1/8 plywood in 3 pieces. Also built an aluminum divider 10" high to prevent tools from sliding forward

    HPWC issue

Make sure you didn't pinch a wire when you mounted the unit on the backer plate
  25. JamesG

Have anyone painted the car down? (bumpers, arches, skirts etc.)

one thing i heard is that the sensors are tricky to paint and work correctly. Once you know the issue you will be ok

Have anyone painted the car down? (bumpers, arches, skirts etc.)

Get any part you need from the Telsa service center including the rivets. part prices are reasonable. No pics. I had an incident with a pile of gravel left in the road. The car is a pleasure to work on.
  27. JamesG

Have anyone painted the car down? (bumpers, arches, skirts etc.)

No. It is intuitive. The button rivets are for reassembly. The plastic wheel well trim comes off first. Then the fuzzy wheel well liners, and then you can see everything

    22" tire swap to 20"

That works for me. Let me know what you want for the set of 4 tires and rims

I am interested in purchasing your tires and wheels.

Have anyone painted the car down? (bumpers, arches, skirts etc.)

Quite easy. Great car to work on. Buy a pack of those button rivets

Manure Carrying Capacity of Model X?

I also believe in the U. I put the rear 2 seats in my six seater down from day 1 and built a "10 inch wall" to prevent the cargo from sliding into the second row seats. With that the X does not hold as much as my 2007 Forester. Luckily I own a pickup for bigger jobs. For most chores the X is...

    Ordered 75D today!

Don't count on 180 to 200 miles unless you want range anxiety. Are you ever going to feel comfortable with less than 40 miles left. Are you going to charge to 100%. The real range with air conditioning on and driving normally is only 80% of the meter.

Center console for back seat of 6 seater Model X?

You ever hear the story of the 2 elephants for sale
  36. JamesG

Model X driving forward when in reverse?

I notice that if one looks at the dash they see P R N D In an older car you would push the shifter down to go from park to reverse. In a Tesla you have to lift up. This has fooled me but I am use to it now

    Continuous usb power

The fridge is on intermittently. Depends on the setting on the fridge/freezer and the temp in the car. Draws between .5 and 2 amps. I expect to get 24 hours. I'll let you know after I live with it for a while

Auxiliary 12 v battery for refrigerator

I would love to find a DC to DC charger. No cut out relay because the Tesla 12v outlet shuts off when the car is off

    Continuous usb power

12v to 120v inverter. 120v input 7.5 amp 12v smart charger connected to 35ah sealed battery.

Auxiliary 12 v battery for refrigerator

Plugging a 120 v inverter into rear cigarette lighter with a smart charger connected to aux battery in rear trunk.
  43. JamesG

    Continuous usb power

I understand about a cutout relay when the tesla is off. I still think that connecting the 2 batteries in parallel could be a problem. I don't understand the electronics of the tesla 12 v charging system. Possibly the increase of resistance of 2 parallel batteries would fool the tesla charging...

Auxiliary 12 v battery for refrigerator

  45. JamesG

    Continuous usb power

In my X it shuts off sometimes when the car locks. Sometimes a few hours later. Never stays on till the next morning. Maybe it has to do with the voltage of the Tesla 12v battery. So if I leave the refridge on and the Tesla 12 v battery voltage drops, tha

Auxiliary 12 v battery for refrigerator

@ flat I am still hesitant to connect the auxiliary battery directly to the Tesla electric system. With an alternator car it would be no problem.
