You might have better luck getting a charger installed at the work parking location, you could even subsidize it, making the decision easier for them.

Check out plugshare, there is a faster DC (30kW) charger (if you have the appropriate adapter) at Diane's Auto that I've used numerous times. Otherwise the fastest A/C charger (charge point) is just around the corner from there (240v not 208) at 30A, they are both in the city, hope this helps!

I thought the same thing before I got my car, now I have 41k miles on it in less than a year! Having supercharging paid upfront allowed me to justify taking road trips and not have to worry about paying for fuel on the go :)

Not sure if this helps, but my credit union worked directly with the DS, never had any issues, maybe offer that to your CU :). And also, my CU never funded a car loan that large and never knew what a Tesla even was... Their only stipulation for funding the loan was a ride after I got it :)

This^^. My daily mileage is less, so I set the charge limit to 70% in winter, 60% in summer and always start @ 4:15am, depart at 7am on a 30A EVSE. I also miss the end time the leaf has though.

Of course it is using today's technology, just saying it makes more sense than the autopilot fueler while in motion. Of course, when we have an EV with a 1000 mile pack, this is all irrelevant anyway...

Or a smaller pack with different chemistry (SCiB) like that in the FitEV which can take massive amounts of charging power, something like 6C with 4k cycles but very poor subzero performance...

And that is where an ultra capacitor would fit the bill nicely. Always dump max regen power to the ultra cap and then charge the main pack from the cap at a constant 60kW... I wish my leaf did this because the regen/brake mixture makes for a crappy transition to friction brakes, it's good, but...

Plugshare puts Tesla Supercharging stations in, ever wonder why you can't edit the info on them like you can with regular public stations?

Just heard from a friend that just drove right by there. Paving guys are there and they took the plastic wraps off the charging stations! So I would say the opening is imminent!
