    Another difference is the head lights, especially the Xenons. US are much stronger / brighter compared to EU due to regulations for Xenons without automatic cleaning system...     since 1.5ers use part of the coil of the motor when charging (TZero patent) that makes sense. Otherwise it sounds much for trouble (moisture) in the DC/DC converter in the front. One guy disassembled it and changed the faulty parts; can't find it back but I guess it was on the Facebook Roadster...

    In other threads different mAh types of batteries, even mixing them to gain some benefits have been discussed (doesn't mean the packs are really done in this way though!). Even the reduction of the announced kWh from 56 to 53 is mentioned.... And sheets are different since the 1.5er for example...

    unsoldered the Molex from the PCB and soldered 4 pins into the PCB since my cables were to big. Soldered the cables to the pins and the other end to the new plug connector insided the PEM. no modification to board!

    I exchanged the original Molex - since it gets more amps than it is rated for - to a 12V 4 pin connector able to handle the amperage. Some soldering and metal cutting is necessary but it's worth the effort.

    Preserving battery charge is the main thing when it comes to charging / PEM errors. So don't drive. If you put it into drive and it works (short test) I would go for the fuses in the little compartment of the PEM. If it stays red and produces the errors again it quit likely indicates an IGBT...

    Mine fitted more or less ok (some smaller gaps, but dry inside and plain with the roll bar and the front). You have to be careful with the isolation rubber so it doesn't get stuck... if this is not the case then it might be bent a bit and therefore it doesn't fit? BTW: making claims with Visium...

    As far as I know until now only one case with a blown capacitor is documented by Gruber. I was told that 2 different grades of capacitors were used in the PEM; standard and military grade... but I don't have any further intel about that. I agree with the remark: every good electronics repair...
