I agree with what you're saying. It looks very unlikely that it will be 20% shorter. I think I was ignoring the facts because I have a personal preference for small cars. (past 2 cars have been a Mazda 2 and a Mini Cooper.) I guess I wish they would make a small hatchback like a Mini or a VW...
