Talked to Tesla CS. Tried powering down the car and deleting home/work addresses from navigation. Neither of these worked either. I can't imagine this is a hardware issue, the GPS worked fine 3 days ago. So scheduled the car for service, but nothing available till September 18th. What a bummer.

So Hannshow sent me software update via WhatsApp last night. I downloaded and installed it to the new PCB. They added a micro USB port on the PCB that isn't accessible without opening the case. This is how you install updates.

The saga continues... Hopefully they can push out a software fix for this.

I'd hold off purchasing for now-- My car upgraded to 2021.4.3 568eaf3367 while I was at work and the HUD didn't work on the drive home. It appears it is no longer receiving power... I wasn't in the mood to pull and double check the wiring as I was hungry and it's really freaking cold right now...

Yes. The mini usb connects to the wire harness. The micro usb is new. I didn't even catch the bluetooth transceiver. All very interesting. I've seen some HUDs with similar cases but different data displays. I assume they have different PCBs inside--which is why some are more/less expensive.

Agree... I think $200-300 is the sweet spot for an "intelligent" HUD that connects to the canbus/OBD2 for extra info.

The V2 HUD looks really interesting. I wonder how CarPlay works in the M3... does it stream music/nav through the car speakers or through the internal speaker of the HUD?

Hannshow is sending me a new board to install into the original HUD so it will be compatible again. Supposed to arrive next week. Will report back.

The car upgraded to 2020.40.8 last night. Now the fasten seatbelt alert is on continuously. Still recognizes turn signals, door open and lights on/off.
