This truck design had better be a joke....

Yup I thought the old Pontiac Aztec was the the ugliest car ever, but here we are... I don’t care if my car is bulletproof or that the windows are “mostly” shatterproof. But I do care that it has some visual appeal, and this ain’t it. I’d only buy this because the 100 they do manage to sell...

    Control issue for games

Solved. Turns out the steering wheel needs to be deadly straight before games work properly. Seems silly.

    Control issue for games

I've noticed that since day 1 I can't properly play some of the Atari games because the left scroller on the steering wheel appears to be pressed when it isn't. In a game like Asteroids the usually means the ship spins around continuously. At the top of the screen I see a message that says...

    Supercharger - Enfield, NS

This is great news since I'm planning to drive my car down to Halifax on the first weekend of August. Hopefully they don't hit any last minute snags

    Supercharger - Enfield, NS

As it happens I drove past this location last week while I was house hunting in the area, and it appears as though construction is finished. Granted I was wizzing past on the highway, but couldn't see any fencing or other construction artifacts. So I'm assuming this SC will be open by the time...

    Possible location - Renfrew, ON

Well for anyone interested in this SC, I swung by the proposed Renfrew location a couple of days ago and so far there is no activity that suggest construction is coming any time soon.

    Supercharger - Enfield, NS

Thanks for all the intel on this SC everyone. This is fantastic progress since I'm moving very close to this location in August :-)

Auto body shop - Ottawa :(

I have used Highland Auto Body in the past to fix my Model S when someone rear ended me in a parking lot and drove away. They did awesome work for me.

Any Issues with your Model 3?

I’ve noticed a new ghost in my car recently. A few times I’ve looked over my shoulder and noticed the rear passenger window down a few centimetres. Almost like someone has grabbed the handle, but the door isn’t open and I’m driving alone. I can just roll it back up and everything is good again.

    Sudden acceleration incident in Kitchener!

If this wasn’t a click bait title it would have been “Confused driver steps on accelerator and plows into a store”. Brand of car shouldn’t even be a concern. FWIW the CTV story did conclude with “Tesla was unavailable for comment”. If there wasn’t some implied blame why would CTV even contact...

    Sudden acceleration incident in Kitchener!

The title of this thread is total click bait. It was only “sudden acceleration” because some dumb driver stepped on the wrong pedal. Why would CTV blame Tesla for this? Do they call Ford or GM every time some driver does something stupid with a Focus or Malibu? When a car is largely a...

    Weird autopilot behaviour

Wide open two lane highway, well marked so AP had no problem detecting the lane. I could see a couple kms up the road.

    Weird autopilot behaviour

Glad know I’m not the only one with this problem on my M3. Guess it’s a software issue
  15. S

What do you hate about your M3?

The only thing I really hate is the lack of any CarPlay support so I can listen to or dictate text messages. This is the new millennium and smart phones were invented more than a decade ago. Even a base Hyundai Accent has smart phone integration. Tesla can pretend Apple and Google don’t exist...

    Weird autopilot behaviour

I was on the highway yesterday running with AP and it was working flawless for about an hour, but then for some reason my car started to slow down pretty aggressively. There wasn’t a car in front of me for at least a km and the road was clear, so I’m not sure what happened. The car stayed in...

    Tesla Service is Sub-optimal

Being in Georgia you probably don't understand the way cars are being delivered in Canada at the moment. The cars are in a protected area. A DA walks you over to it and gives you enough time to literally walk around it once and then says "Let's go sign the paperwork". It's not the casual...

What do you hate about your M3?

Your point would normally be valid for any other car, but think about it another way. Assume you bought a $15K Kia. Would you have to even think about paint quality, panel gaps, or a host of other nagging issues, including the windshield washer level when you pick the car up? Some people who...

    Tesla Service is Sub-optimal

My issue really isn’t a panel gap per se. what it looks like is the bottom of the drivers door has been bent in a few millimeters - almost like it was banged into something, though I don’t see any actual dent or paint damage. I know if I take it in for service they’re just going to whack with...

    Tesla Service is Sub-optimal

The only thing I’m truly upset with is the fact that they gave me 2 minutes to check my car before I was handed a pen to sign. Had I had more time, I would have seen the bad panel alignment on the door, but a more important concern is why they didn’t fix it before I ever saw the car. Why do I...

    Tesla Service is Sub-optimal

Well, I tried to connect with the Service Centre in Montreal today about the few minor quality issues I've found with my Model 3. Unfortunately I already wasted an entire day driving to Toronto and back to Ottawa to pick up a car that honestly shouldn't have had these problems in the first...

Any Issues with your Model 3?

I don’t think it’s alignment. I drove it back from Toronto and it drive nice and straight with no pulling. Just my wheel is turned a couple of degrees

Any Issues with your Model 3?

I have three issues: 1. Hood sag (I'll try to adjust it myself to see if I can fix it) 2. My steering wheel isn't centered (rotated clockwise by a couple degrees and drives me crazy) 3. My driver's door isn't aligned properly with the rear door at the bottom. It almost looks like the bottom of...

    International Centre delivery experiences

My awesome blue Model 3 is now in the garage getting amped up after the drive back from the IC. My appointment was at 11am today but we arrived a bit early at 10:40, so I was worried we’d be hanging around waiting. But in the middle of a great muffin a few minutes in, the DA found me and we...

What time is your delivery on Saturday? I’m driving down for 11am and you’re welcome to hitch a ride and save a couple hundred $. Of course you’d need to be ready to go by 6:30 in the morning. . PM if you’re interested.

    Ottawa Model 3

Anyone else picking their 3 up next Saturday (the 9th)? My appt is supposed to be at 11am. Hopefully they charge to at least 90% for Ottawa folks. Mine is Blue with 19” wheels. Anyone get one with 19’s yet?

    Waiting for delivery in Ontario

I’m not worried about missing the rebate due to the election. The new government won’t take office until September and then it will take them a couple months to complain about all the poorly spent money from the previous government. I figure unless the rebate budget runs out of cash we have...

    Waiting for delivery in Ontario

My Model S was delivered to my house out of the Montreal store and I still got the Ontario rebates and licensing done without issue. Was having your M3 delivered to your house an option? I’d take that if I can because I can wait a few extra days without too much over-excitement I’ll talk to...

    WeatherTech car mats - Ottawa

I've sold my Tesla and in addition to winter tires also have a set of weather tech mats for sale if you are in the Ottawa area. They are in great shape after one winter - $100 PM if interested.

19" winter tires and rims - Ottawa

I have a set of Sottozeros on 19" tesla rims I'd be happy to sell. Bought them last year and they have about 4000kms on them. Basically new condition with no marks or scuffs on the rims - yours for $2k. Prefer local/regional purchase to avoid shipping costs.

WTB: 19" OEM Rims for Model S- Toronto, ON, Canada

I have a nearly new set in Ottawa with or without sottozeros. I'd like to get $2k for them, which is about a 30% discount.

So long P85D and Winter tires FS

$2k takes them in a heartbeat - if you live in the Ottawa area I'd even deliver them :) I'd also consider selling just the rims/sensors since I already have a buyer for the tires to someone without a Tesla

So long P85D and Winter tires FS

Hi everyone, It's been 15 months with the Tesla and I have few regrets. A lot can happen in life in that time and so it is that tomorrow I say good-bye to my beloved P85D. I am soon to start a job where I work from home most of the time and will eventually relocate to Nova Scotia. In either...

    Record Snowfall in Ottawa

Don't feel bad Doug. I watched a guy in a jacked up RAM monster truck get stuck on the street in front of my house for an hour until a tractor pulled him out. My Tesla wisely sat in the garage until this morning. The tractor got lots of playtime though - like you I did some city work to rescue a...

What type of range degradation to be expected?

Looks like everyone is about the same. My 90% started at about 367km and is now 357kms, but it has been that way for at least 4 months now. My general charge pattern is to plug in when I get home regardless of the range remaining if that matters.

    Good body shop in Ottawa

All good points. Doug, no Montreal didn't have a recommended shop in Ottawa, though you never know if it's because they get kickbacks from the body shop or not. I attached a picture here. The dent is actually pretty small and I think they can hammer it out without significant body work.

    Good body shop in Ottawa

Had a bad day yesterday when someone bumpered me in a parking lot. Small dent in the lift gate and some bumper damage. Can someone recommend a body shop in Ottawa? I don't want to drive all the way to Montreal and Tesla doesn't want to pick up my car and drop it back off

I golfed with Mike the day he left Tesla and there was nothing insidious going on. He and a couple of other people started a new company which looks pretty interesting and I hope he's successful. From what he suggested there are now well over a 120 cars in the Ottawa area and said that our...
