After doing some more digging, found this
From Solarquote.com.au
"Unless your local electricity network provides a local variation to a new Australian Standard that becomes mandatory on Thursday 30th, it may be illegal to install a Powerwall 2 plus solar on a single phase."
Will it be...
Hi 360C, very impress setup, quick question, is the setup because you want to be "green", hate paying the power companies, or a bit of both? Reason for question is instead of using your own power, you can use AGL's ($1 a day unlimited charging) to charge the Tesla and push the excess into the...
Can anyone with some solar and battery knowledge clarify this. Was told that the power companies are now limiting power into the grid from homes (max 5kw), which they have been doing for some time as part of feedin tariffs, but now, they will actually count the batteries as well towards this...
Not 100% sure, my Tesla is ex demo, but couldn't find any documentation if dual charger or not...
When in a normal 10amp charger l only get 8-12km/hr depending on how good line is, but others have said no point getting 3 phase 32 amps unless have dual charger as most you can get is around...
Sorry not up to speed on adapters, one was standard Tesla apdapter, but to be honest they both looked the same, just one side male and other side female, type 2? But the one that plugged into BMW wall charger looked a little bit bigger than Tesla end...
Thanks for all the help, stayed at Sofitel, they have 2 BMW chargers with an adapter for Tesla, first night plugged into 10amp PowerPoint, but next day told me they have adapater for BMW charger, 3 phase 32amp, got just over 100km/hr charge.
Those travelled to or located on Gold Coast, what are the best options for charging? Will arrive with about 30kw left and staying for 2 nights, need 50kw to get home to Sunshine Coast.
Only have 10amp charger, so will try to use hotel power, but not sure what they have available yet.
Thanks
I am going for a swim at the beach.... l do not want to take fob or iPhone with me, so can you intentionally lock fob and iPhone in car? And then unlock car with waterproof Apple Watch when back at car and watch can sense iPhone?
Has anyone tried this??
Wall charger finally got installed yesterday, my house circuit (l have 3 phase power) could only sustain a 3 phase 16amp circuit, but even that still allows for about 50km a hour charge.
Installation took a long time, about 6 hours.. l was told mine was 2nd one in QLD that had been done, but...
Those on 21", do you have Michelins or Continentals?? Anyone know if any major difference between them?
Beaurepaires, Can do 265/35R21 for $699.. in QLD fitted... for the Continentals conti 5 SP... supposedly an original Tesla tyre.
They can't get the Michelins which l currently have.
Bob Jane...
Finally got a call back with regard to installation, only to be told, they are now on holidays, first available install date is 10th of Jan. So will take exactly 2 months from start to finish to sign up and get charger meter installed as long as nothing goes wrong during install.
Hi Joninmelbourne, Drive about 100-150 km a day... that is just around town between businesses, kids, after school activities... etc... average about 20kw usage a day for tesla, some days more, some days less..
I got back a quote of $0 dollars for install, and was waiting for the power to switch over to AGL (can take up to 4 weeks). Got a welcomed AGL SMS this morning, so from what l was told, subcontractor won't install until you are switched over to AGL and live in their system. So hopefully next...
Those with P85D/P90D, where did you get your replacement tyres from....
245/35ZR21 front
265/35ZR21 rear
Michelin pilot sport... not listed on Michelin website, or a few other sites l checked...
Are you using another brand or was different brand fitted when received car??
I wish you could do that, unfortunately will only apply to the dedicated circuit for the tesla wall charger... if you don't want to use tesla wall charger AGL can provide a EV charger but not sure which type, but again, it will be dedicated for that role and can't be used for anything else..
@EcoCloudIT that is a great deal you have with powershop, not available here unfortunately, plus, l average about 20kwh a day on house and a bit more than 20kwh on car each day... so AGL it is for me, as much better than anything Origin has at moment.
@ICUDoc it is charged $1 a day regardless...
I called AGL to get details, if sign up and you do direct debit for bills... called the set and forget plan, you get a 12% discount (assume just on usage).. so may be cheaper than your usage with powershop.
Hi,
I am getting my P90DL on Friday, but as soon as l get it, I have got to head to the airport and be away for 1 week.
120km drive to airport
1 week at airport (no charging at airport)
120km drive home
How bad is the vampire drain on the model s? Will it make the trip no problem?
Thanks
I thought Tarriff 33 in QLD is limited to 20 amps? For those that are on Tarriff 33, do you limit the tesla to 20 amps?
Anyone know what limit of Tarriff 31 is?
Thanks
Hi everyone,
I am keen to purchase an X, but am curious as to how those already have a Tesla claim expenses. For a ICE car, l claim petrol receipts as a percentage based on log book.
As there is no petrol receipts how does it work?? Based on Km only x a $ rate?
I tried to search for the...
