See, that's unfortunate. Luxury buyers don't often think of fuel range when buying a vehicle. Plus, I don't know that increasing the seal integrity and limiting NVH should add that much weight to the car.

NVH isn't "fixed", it's "improved". Tesla has done a little bit of work on the NVH, but it's not nearly good enough for the price category. The fact that similarly priced ICE vehicles with large engines are so much quieter is something Tesla should work on.

Go to a good body shop and you'll be made whole. You're going to be just fine. We've had some body shop issues in the past. They're extremely frustrating but you'll be okay.

I like to think that's how I feel, but the Model Y has a fairly serious design flaw (the wheels throw rocks and debris into the door panels) and I still bought it. I PPF'd the whole thing so I can live with that flaw for now.

Only advice I would say that hasn't been said here is *Have an idea where the service centers are on your trip map. If you have serious tire issues, you're going to want to be towed there and Tesla only tows 50 miles.

Going from an NA engine to a Tesla is kind of weird. IMHO, the Tesla drives more like a turbocharged car with a boatload of torque and no gears. It drives completely differently than an NA as the immediacy is just other-worldly.

The problem is the LR AWD is just a technologically superior car which is easier to sell across all climates. I can see at this point why they don't over a RWD Model 3 simple to keep the lineup simple but I too love the idea of a RWD beast.

That makes sense for real body work (say, from an accident). Where it doesn't make sense is stuff like hail. The actual hail removal quote is too high. Tesla has SOME special materials (hood, roof, etc) but replacing those is NOT the majority of the price.
