    Anyone got HW3 retrofit yet?

I was told that the FSD retrofit couldn't be done by mobile service on a Model 3 because of the liquid cooling. You may be one of the first to have it done by mobile service. Can anyone confirm having a Model 3 retrofit done by mobile service? Where?

    CHADeMO Charging Adapter for sale

I have a CHADeMO Charging Adapter for sale in the original Tesla box only used a few times. $350. Would prefer local pickup in northern Massachusetts / southern New Hampshire, but willing to ship if buyer pays shipping.

    Smart summon liability?

    > is there a difference b/t A1 & 2.X when it comes to auto park and summon? Not true. AP1 does both.

PSA: Please don't expect any FSD features this year, or even early next year, really

Really? So it's your opinion Tesla's promise that "Your Tesla will match speed to traffic conditions" can be done without knowledge of the speed limit. Not to mention the fact that the E in EAP stands for Enhanced. So it's ok by you if EAP costing twice as much ($5K) as AP ($2.5K) never...

PSA: Please don't expect any FSD features this year, or even early next year, really

How can you say that when AP 2.5 doesn't recognize speed limit signs, and in many cases has no idea what the actual speed limit is on many stretches of divided highway? I drive both an AP1 Model S and a Model 3 and can assure you that this is one area AP1 still outperforms AP 2.5. Certainly any...

First 3rd party extended warranty for Tesla’s

For my 2015 Model S with 45K miles (still under 4 year warranty for 6 months), the quote was more than Tesla's ESA for fewer miles/months of coverage, since I'm not yet at 4 years/50K miles. Is there anything this Xcare plan covers that Tesla's ESA does not?

Current Tesla Solar Pricing in Florida

Thanks @Dan123, that works out to exactly the same $2.99/W they quoted me and is to be expected for their initial quote. What I'm trying to determine is whether anyone in this area has been successful getting them to lower their price under value matching.

Current Tesla Solar Pricing in Florida

Tesla recently quoted me $2.99/W for an 11.7kW system and denied any price reduction despite my having submitted a verified quote under their value matching for $2.65/kW with identical components (Panasonic 325W, SolarEdge inverter). Has anyone in Florida been successful getting Tesla to come...

    Tesla Solar inverters

@Wubbles Any update on your Tesla install? Is it operating yet? Are you happy with how it turned out? Tesla is one of my top 2 choices, but only if I can ensure the SolarEdge inverter and specific 325W panel are specified in the final contract. Any advice on how to get that included in the...

So, why does Tesla have such a hard time painting cars?

If Tesla buyers are 'hyper-sensitive' about paint issues, it's because of the numerous crappy paint jobs that should have been caught before delivery by QC, but that they continue trying to deliver to customers anyway, sometimes multiple times. We've seen many cases documented here with photos...

Why I Won't Be Ordering EAP and FSD

And thats exactly what that announcement was calculated to do. Elon is a genius at marketing. I wish Tesla was as good at delivering on their promises. Who thinks that Tesla will actually deliver a fully "Self Driving Car" in the next 3 years?

    Flat towing MX behind RV

No, but if you're really interested in a all-electric solution there are some folks that posted awhile back about towing an Airstream trailer behind a Model X. I recall that it cut their mileage roughly in half, but with the expanding supercharger network, it's definitely doable.

    Flat towing MX behind RV

I've noticed an almost +1mpg gain in comparison to flat towing a Honda Pilot on a 20' flat bed with my 40' single rear axle Cummins 350 Diesel coach. YMMV. And yes, as I said, it takes a few minutes longer, but I feel it's worth it for the benefits cited. Again, YMMV. I agree that the total...

    Flat towing MX behind RV

The trailer itself is a little easier to hookup and unhook than a tow bar and driving the car on/off is easy enough on an open car hauler. It does, however, take a little longer to secure the car to the car hauler with the tie down straps. Then there's the issue of what to do with the trailer...

    Flat towing MX behind RV

About the same as I'd be if towing flat - about 60'.

    Flat towing MX behind RV

Or you could just use a car hauler trailer towed behind your motor home. That's what I do with my Model S. It takes a few minutes longer to load/unload, but I've found the benefits include better mpg towing (my average mpg when from ~7 to 8mpg on my diesel pusher), the ability to back up...

    BATTERY & CHARGING (Quick Reference)

Several previous posters have said that "it's faster not to charge to 100%." That is NOT always true. While it is true that it's always faster to begin charging at a lower State of Charge (SoC), if starting out from home or a destination charger with a higher SoC (not necessarily 100%) allows...

    Which app should I purchase?

I use Remote S almost exclusively. I haven't used the Tesla App for some time because Remote S offers more all from a single screen or from the Apple watch (which the Tesla App doesn't support at all).

Two days with Model 3 impressions/review- This is not a mini model S

The Model 3 is an great EV with some interior improvements over the S and X, but there are at least four other significant features the S and X have that are missing from the Model 3: An awesome dashboard (2nd display) with configurable apps to the left and right of the center autopilot display...

    EAP question for current owners

I have an AP1 85D and feel it was definitely worth the $2500 for AP1. I can trust AP1 on highways and in stop-and-go traffic and that relieves driver fatigue. However, based on what I've seen and heard for AP2, I would NOT pay $5000 for EAP until Tesla delivers what they promised for EAP. I...

Blog Autopilot Has Been Improving on AP1 Vehicles Too

Lane changes with AP on firmware version 17.26.76 are definitely worse. When making a lane change, the car always overshoots the center almost all the way to the opposite lane divider, then slowly recenters itself, all while the dash display accurately reflects this.

    Brake cleaning $75

It may not be included in the new re-written annual service agreement, but many of us have the original annual service agreement which had far fewer exclusions. App Display in 8.0

I prefer the change because I like to keep nav on the top screen and toggle the bottom half. IMO, the new behavior makes more sense. It wasn't change for the sake of change. Having the two apps (nav & rear view camera) closer to the drivers view of the road makes for safer, less distracted...

Can autopilot in model S merge you onto a highway?

No, autopilot will not help you merge onto a highway. However, the incredible torgue will enable you to put yourself where you want to be almost instantly. If there's a space nearby, you won't need ned someone to 'let' you in. ;-)

When will the Model Y be unveiled?

I put a deposit down on the Model 3, but what I really want as my 2nd Tesla is the Model Y (without Falcon Wing Doors). Given the popularity of crossover SUVs, I suspect many Model 3 reservation holders would actually prefer the Model Y. I would switch my deposit to the Model Y immediately if...

Remote S: Tesla app for Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch

Allen, From your posts about testing summon, it sounds like you're adding this feature to an update. Does that imply that it will work from the Apple Watch as well? That would be impressive, though I'm not sure how safe, since there's sometimes a greater lag time using the Remote S on the Apple...
