We got the car yesterday and I tried charging at full 40A at home last night. It went fine with 28mi/hour added. Will check supercharging later. Tesla did check supercharging before handing it back to us.

Right. Will keep that in mind. I have always wanting to work "at home" to avoid the commute. However, home is really not that exciting for me because of the isolation, and cafes are too loud. So Model S is really great. And I can always walk into a cafe if I want.

Well, the technician said that the master charger controls the amperage so they maybe related. We will see. He did tell me to manually increase to 40A next time at home to override the memory. They also replaced the 12V battery. So it is still problematic, I assume.

I found that Model S is actually THE best place to work: You can work from anywhere you like: on the beach, by the street, in a park. Need to take phone calls? No problem. Bluetooth hands free and quieter than a cafe. Little road noises and no engine sound. environment friendly and guilt free...

So I took it to SC upon their request. They told me the main charge unit is faulty and are replacing it. I got a loaner 85D yesterday and, when I plugged it in to my NEMA 14-50 last night, noticed that it takes full 40A out of it, while my 70D could only draw 30A at best. Maybe these two things...

OK. I will try that, even though I did see the green ring flashing for several seconds before it stops and show blue(?). The one time it did work in San Juan, the flashing green ring turns into solid green pretty quick and I heard a clicking from the car.

I got my 70D on 6/24 and have been enjoying it so far. However, one particular problem is having me concerned: It seems that it has "developed" a hatred for supercharging. :mad: After getting my car, I have taken it from LA down to San Diego and back, and also to Carbazon over the last weekend...

That's great. Just 1 day in production. That's amazing speed since mine took the normal 3 business days. Guess they want to deliver to you by end of the quarter so you will probably get your baby this week!

I am in the Sam boat. Confirmed on 5/30 and in production 6/11. Looks like it will take them 3~4 business days to complete production these days.
