Seems like objective performance vs subjective appearance. In general a smaller tire will result in improved acceleration and range due to decreased rotational inertia, wind resistance, overall car weight. Subjectively they may not look as good or may look better depending on personal taste...

Well, I have a model 2015 s and a performance 2018 3. I have 320 thousand miles on them (145 k ms85 and 184 k 2018 M3P). The model 3 is unbelievable worn ( console and door handles have all black worn off). The model s looks brand new. No comparison… I ordered another S. Both have been great cars

Yep its all relative. My model 3 performance is fast compared to just about everything....but a P100D with or without ludicrous will scorch it. If you ever need a good dose of humility, just challenge one. You'll feel like you are driving a Ford Fiesta

I got the update a few days ago. My MP3+ definitely has more acceleration. From a stop to around 10mph, the traction control is slightly overwhelmed with a slight fishtail. It is more jarring and sudden and less gradual..more like my S was...but more so. .I can easily tell it has more power...

yep...that will probably be my next car as well. Great choice. If you can find one with FSD then you should be able to swap out the computer for AP3 for no charge when it becomes available

oh and SC older model S and X does not transfer with the owner...Just the car. With model 3's that kept it instead of the 5K rebate...it does not even transfer with the car

well that is an easy one...unfortunately no. When the Model 3 came out it was briefly available with the performance version. Then they essentially bought it back for 5K (offered to give back 5k to performance 3 buyers after abruptly lowering the price but owners had to give up the free SC)...

Agree...early adoption just means you are willing to tolerate some defects until they are fixed...to help Tesla. And you cant early adopt FSD. If I compared my car with FSD with another one that did not have it, there is no difference. It was just a loan to Tesla. I am happy about the computer...
