@Bighorn, you really need to understand and plan differently for v2 vs v3 superchargers. A V2 is only 150kw shared between the A and B pedestals. As was said above, if you have a choice, don't take the same 'number' as someone else. V3's share differently across all of the pedestals. If...

The old switch gear isn't used in a V3 site. The switch gear is now packaged into the cabinets, thus my comment. I'm glad it's a v3, I just don't understand why the non tesla switchgear cabinets. (could be local code requirements)

Anywhere from several weeks to many months. It depends on a lot of things. How long does it take the power company to deliver/install a transformer is a major one. Electrical inspections and corrections are another. The actual build of the site can vary from a couple of weeks to a month...

It varies by tesla model and comes from how the car was EPA certified. If it was certified with the plate holder on it, they are required to deliver it that way and you the owner can remove it. If it was not, it's optional. Now if a service center wants to 'wink wink' take it off for cars that...

The big things under the covers are the actual chargers (not transformers). Those cabinets include the electronics to convert the 480v 3 phase power to the DC feed for 4 pedestals. There is a cardboard covered pallet behind the white covers that contains the pedestals.

not quite everything. There are those pipes sticking up to the right of the cabinets, that's where the transformer goes. That and the power feed from the utility to the transformer are stilll missing. You can see the pad with the plywood on top of it in one of the pictures.

Great report, often when you are farther away from the supercharger Tesla will not show it in the nav, I find if I move the map to the area where the charger is (zoom out and scroll the map), the red dot is there and I can select it that way.

ok, I'm used to calling it the charging location map or supercharger map. Sites don't show up there until open, unless they are a generic area (not a specific site, but a town name marker) where Tesla is seeking to open a charger.

Wires running out of a pad is the transformer. That comes from the Utility and is one of the last things and can take a long time, especially if the Utility has to figure out how to get that much power to the location.

there is a cocrete pad for the utility transformer, it's generally a big green irregularly shaped box, and is labeled with all kinds of markings but the KVA marking is a dead give away (V3 sites are often 500, 750 or 1000 based on the number of stalls).

Yes, a powered transformer means its waiting for either inspection by the local municipality or turn on by tesla (or both).

I hate to be the perpetual pessimist, but I zoomed in on the picture and the transformer's wires are still sticking out from the pad on the ground, as such, there is one heavy lift left, the transformer from the power company.

like all items, transformers are in shorter supply, and damaged ones from IDA will take priority. I suspect we will see more delays than normal installing transformers.

The people to ask about this is our North New Jersey chapter. You can find the facebook group for DVTO and ask there as a non member, but if you do move, I suggest you join and set your default chapter to Northern NJ. (Alas, I'm in PA and totally different rates, etc.).

I suspect thats a transformer platform, as in the picts I don't see a transformer, just the switchgear and supercharger cabinets. So still most likely a couple of weeks away. Utility provides the transformer and the meter.

The transformer in front (show near the stalls) is too small, so that is an existing transformer for the store probably. The pad is for the transformer for the superchargers, so still a while to go.

As I've said in other postings, did you see a transformer (I don't see one in the picture), no transformer - weeks to months out no meter - weeks out unless the jurisdiction is a pain on approvals then longer
