'Power reduced, Service Required' Tesla Model S 2015

Does this look like the same issue? I am getting it almost daily, goes away after a few minutes but Tesla SC have given up diagnosing issue. Model S (2015)

Error messages abound, parking brake stuck, and a 5000 lawn ornament. HELP!

I'm having similar issue with 2015 MS - see screenshot. Happens daily on start up and goes away after a few minutes. Tesla SC have given up diagnosing ! Does this look similar ?

2015 tesla model s break pedal stuck down

Hey, I'm having a similar issue in my MS 2015 - Tesla SC can't fix/replicate, but happening daily, only on start up in morning. See errors in screenshot. I suspected a software issue but maybe 12V battery related. Any thoughts ?

My 3rd door handle failure in 2 years

So both the ones replaced in August have now failed again (with 2 weeks). I took to St Leonards & they couldn't find the problem (but were short of time). Now I'm unable to contact the service centre in St Leonards (3 emails, 2 calls, 2 texts - all unanswered). Is anyone having problems with St...

My 3rd door handle failure in 2 years

Just to update on this topic, I've now had all 4 handles replaced (the not retracting issue). But a new issue only 2 weeks after last repair, now the two fixed handles retract but don't unlock the doors. Hopefully Tesla will fix as it looks like relating to recent work. If not, I'll let you...

My 3rd door handle failure in 2 years

I queried Redbook on this (when I got the policy but only remembered when checking my emails) - both in regards to door handles and servicing requirements -- @Mark E -- see advice below which may be useful: Thanks for your email. ‘Wear and tear’ refers to the gradual degradation of operating...

My 3rd door handle failure in 2 years

Tesla doesn't mandate compulsory servicing (to maintain warranty), so not sure Redbook (now Carsales) can enforce servicing annually ?

My 3rd door handle failure in 2 years

I'm also having the door handle drama on a 2015 Model S. 2nd handle just gone. Understanding the fix is only some small parts, I keep arguing for them to fix all 4 doors (or replace with the improved handle design) but it's their policy not to make pre-emptive repairs. Meanwhile warranty...

Tesla announces eight-year warranty for Model S and Model X

I don't do many kms so not a concern, but reading posts in this thread, others believe it's unlimited kms - I can't see a km limit in the Redbook information.

Tesla announces eight-year warranty for Model S and Model X

See my post #36 above, it may help somewhat but agree there's a tad of "trust us" in this grey area. Redbook seem happy to answer any questions, best done by way of example as I did.

Tesla announces eight-year warranty for Model S and Model X

OK, answered my own question by emailing Redbook who replied quickly as below: "The policy would commence at the end of your current policy, so June 2019. The only real benefit to purchasing now is to lock in current pricing. In a year from now I can almost guarantee we’ll be more expensive...

Tesla announces eight-year warranty for Model S and Model X

Does anyone have a sense of any cost impact (say with Redbook) if you take up the cover later. Ie, I was quoted $2430 for 3 yrs too, on a S85 (2015) with 33000km. Assuming the cover starts when purchased, I'd prefer to take it out when the warranty is just about to expire, ie May 2019. If...

Tesla announces eight-year warranty for Model S and Model X

I clarified a few points with Redbook, namely (a) "wear and tear" definition and (b) need to prove servicing history, where Tesla don't mandate it. Their reply copied below -- pretty reasonable on face value, and combined with substantially lower price, they seem to be the way to go -- cheers...

Tesla announces eight-year warranty for Model S and Model X

OK, I checked it out and it does look better. But I note 'wear and tear' is still an exclusion. So does that mean door handles, boot lid struts etc may not be claimable if they go ? These are the two issues I've had in first couple of years with my MS85.

Tesla announces eight-year warranty for Model S and Model X

I've just been quoted for this: • Extra 2 years (total 6 years) up to 120,000km: Total Premium: $3,319 • Extra 4 years (total 8 years) up to 160,000km: Total Premium: $6,064 I asked how much premium would change if I took it up later (ie closer to expiry of standard warranty) and they aren't...

    Supercharger - Heatherbrae NSW

@NovoCasGreeny @MangroveMike - just letting you guys know I'm a S85 owner and just relocated from Brisbane to Hamilton permanently. Have spotted both a blue and black MS this first week already. Let me know of any owner meets etc.

Another possible 7.1 bug -- steering wheel track selection buttons don't work with Spotify -- has anyone else noticed this ?

    7.1 in Australia

Reading over this whole thread the common theme is lack of communication by Tesla. Update issue for some models - broadcast update email to those owners too hard ? What's with Homelink - why such a mystery -- what's so wrong with sharing some truth ? Summon feature - again, why are we left...

    7.1 in Australia

I think you have a point here. If summon feature is to be released post beta, Tesla could say so and start keeping customers (product advocates) better informed. If it's related to traffic regs, what are the specifics (noting those posted earlier have been in force long before Tesla started...

    7.1 in Australia

I met Gary (Tesla engineer) in Brisbane today for recall check and asked a few questions: * Summon in Aus ? Presumed it would come here post beta provided we get past the regulatory issues. * Web browser enabled at no/low speed -- Most common question he gets and doesn't know why that feature...

Distance driving - Brisbane to Sydney

Yes I'm keen to hear how you go. Tackling 400km of highway still gives me range anxiety (with kids aboard) I confess .. So still keen to see a dist. charging option north of Coffs soon as a backup. I need to learn to use TACC better also: I may not have it set right but I seem to get very close...

Distance driving - Brisbane to Sydney

Well at least we have a distance charging option at Brunswick Heads, so Coffs (300km) is plausible - and Port Macquarie is the next d/c location (400km - so could be line ball from Brunswick Heads !) - - - Updated - - - Further to my last post, for us in Brisbane does anyone know of...

Distance driving - Brisbane to Sydney

Thanks the feedback. Also given the debate and speculation I emailed Tony at Macadamia Castle and he advises: "Yes the charger is available 24/7. It is connected to the grid. You will just need a Chargepoint card to activate it. We can provide that for you any day 8am to 5pm but if you are...

Distance driving - Brisbane to Sydney

Thanks for the feedback so far. I'm inclined to get the EVnomics J1772 adapter -- presumably some owners are using these without issue. Still a SC around Ballina (as mooted) would be a good stepping stone to doing the whole Sydney stretch. To those owners commenting they've found the J1772...

Distance driving - Brisbane to Sydney

I'm a new owner and planning this trip but having 'anxiety' over the Brisbane to Port Macquarie leg (intending to stop at The Observatory and charge overnight). The first leg is 550km and there are no Tesla chargers along the way. My question is if anyone is using J1772 converters - there are...
