Walk away door locks. Only works 3 our of 4 times.

Thanks.. I'll look into the child seat thing. And yes, I think everything stays on in the car.

Walk away door locks. Only works 3 our of 4 times.

Tesla can't solve the problem on my 2021 Plaid. Walk away door locks on my 2014 P85D never failed. On the new car, when I walk away, it will only lock 3 out of 4 times. Is it only me who has this problem? I've tried the fob and the phone. It seems more reliable when I use the phone as a key...

    Different Yoke part numbers?

It’s a long story, but I messed up my yoke. So I bought one on eBay. When I plugged it in, the buttons didn’t work or light up. So the seller shipped another one, and it didn’t work. That’s when I noticed a different part number. Mine is: 1622612-00-C (buttons work) The eBay one was...

    Sirius/XM app comes and goes

HAHA... so true. It's been 6 years and auto-steer is still not hands free. But don't worry, FSD is coming this fall ;)

    Sirius/XM app comes and goes

It's odd that it only happens to XM. That never happens to the other apps. Thanks for the reply... it's good to know I'm not alone. ~Jay

    Door handle permanent fix?

Thanks for the detailed post. I never slam my door. Maybe that’s why it only failed once. ;) my passengers are not so kind to my car. I’ll ask Tesla about a better gear.

    Door handle permanent fix?

In my case, it seems that they just replace the broken gear.

    Door handle permanent fix?

I've had a terrible time with the door handles failing to present. I've had at least 6 failures - two in the past few weeks. Is this still a problem on new cars? If it's been resolved, then is there a way to install the new design on my car? thanks, ~Jay

All else equal is a 4yr CPO P85D vs. 4yr CPO 85D worth an extra $6,000?

Looks like you found a great deal. I hope it works out for you. I’ll go ahead and give my two cents In case anyone is interested... I have a P85D. I love it. Over the years, I’ve had many loaner Tesla cars. Every one of them felt different. Tesla is always changing. Newer cars seem to drive...

Anyone refusing last software update - speed limit restriction?

Does anyone know if the new speed restriction effects TACC? I can live with losing auto steering on an undecided highway, but not TACC. My old car had adaptive cruise control and I would not have bought the Tesla if it didn't have it. Limiting you to the posted speed is he same as not having...

New Owners: What was your last car? How much more was the MS than that car?

I sold my 2013 SRT8 Jeep to get the 2014 inventory P85D. The Jeep was about $68,000+tax. It was fast and beautiful. Costs about $5000 a year in gas. Averaged about 13mpg. I sold it a few weeks ago to car max for $43,000 with 46,000 miles on it. Accept for the high miles it was in like new...

Tesla West Coast Road Trip (2,000+ miles, 3 ferry rides, $0 in gas) & Pictures

That was my big take away from your post. That makes perfect sense. That frequency would match well to my drink vs need to pee timing. Also, there would be no need to drive slow to try to extend maximum range, I can just drive like I normally do. Thanks also for the warm welcome. I can't...
