There is also a weekly ferry where you can do Happy Valley Goose Bay to Cartwright, which would allow you to skip that charging desert, but you have to be there at the right time plus it is not cheap or fast.

@Tectonic I have not found anyone doing that trip and your post is the only one I have found about someone looking to do the trip. I'd like to do it too, go up through the St Lawrence Ferry and back through Labrador/Quebec Route 389. I am considering doing the trip this summer. You are right...

I am the guy from Edmundston. I can confirm that nothing has happened as of a few days ago. The Shell is the logical place for a supercharger, but perhaps there is additional logistics involved due to the fact the site being discussed is on a First Nation? Hard to tell.

It says it's on the eCharge Network which is the newly announced NB Power Network. The Salisbury in Irving appears to be installing a L3 Station too, although when I passed there this morning they were still early on in the construction process.

Seems like one of the L3 station made its way to Plugshare. I am not sure if the station is actually there right now or if the owner put it up in advance. eCharge network: 50 kW Level 3, 7.2 kW Level 2. This will be part of the 10 L3 stations to be announced by NB Power soon.

NB Power is pushing very hard to have it ready for Canada 150th. Late July at the latest. It's a project that they are quite proud of and they want to get it right.

I got confirmation from NB Power that the stations will have CHAdeMO (L3) and SAE J1772 (L2) combo protocols.

Don't forget that this is just the Federal part of the funding though, NB Power also contributes financially. :)

A good source at NB Power told me there was at least one Model X in NB, in Riverview near Moncton. Another one might be coming soon too, as my father has a deposit on a X90D. :D
