Anyone offer a M3 test drive in Ottawa?

Thanks all for quick responses and kind offers. Looks like they'll have a test drive when schedules get sorted. If still a need I'll post update.

Anyone offer a M3 test drive in Ottawa?

Have a friend that is seriously considering buying an EV soon. They have done test drives of Bolt & Leaf, but Tesla has not responded to a request for test drive. I have an S so can't provide the Model 3 experience. If possible they'd be interested in RWD model. DM if you are able to help.

    Ottawa Model 3

Maybe things have changed lately. My S purchase 3 years ago was plated & taxed for Ontario (I had it delivered to my home but would have been same if I went to Montreal). I've not heard of anyone in Ottawa pay Quebec tax when picking up in Montreal. Service and parts purchase at Montreal is...

    NEMA 14-50 Installation in Canada

I looked at that option but didn't have any breaker space. Would have had to add a pony panel and I'd still only have 100A service. Decided to bite the bullet and go for new panel and upgrade, which meant I could go with 40A charger no worries and lots of room to expand. EV rebate dropped...

    NEMA 14-50 Installation in Canada

In Ottawa, I did 100 -> 200A upgrade 3 years ago. $2,160 - upgrade with new panel (5' run from meter to panel), charger install (60A breaker, 40' run from panel to garage), ESA permit shut-off switch by charger as per code. $1,028 - Hydro Ottawa...

    Home Charging Efficiency

Sorry, being sloppy with my units. My readings show the HPWC (idle, not plugged into car) consumes 0.04kWh of energy each day. Converting energy to average hourly power 0.04kWh / 24 hour = 0.00167 kW or 1.6 watts (average each hour of the day) or 40 watts total each day Total annual energy...

    Home Charging Efficiency

Thanks for calling me out! Yes I slipped a decimal. Should be 0.04kWh / day -> 40 watts per day, 14.6kWh per year Phantom loads add up!

    Home Charging Efficiency

My bad! Slipped a decimal point on HPWC power consumption. Should be 0.04 kWh / day. i.e. 40 watts / days

    Home Charging Efficiency

80% efficiency is not unusual. In the past year of monitoring (energy meter @ panel + car readings) I've ranged 51-97% efficiency. My efficiency will vary based on the ambient temperature at time of charging, the temperature of the battery pack when charging starts and the charge time / amount...

    Montreal SC

Yes. Either home delivery or 2 one-way tickets + cab to Tesla SC. There was reference to fact that Ottawa didn't have a SC so this was the service they provided. Of course that was then, don't know what policy is now :)

    Montreal SC

My 70D was delivered (9 pm arrival via Tesla trailer) to my house 1 year ago. They also offered to pay train fare for 2. Driver parked car in garage since it was raining and then spent 45 minutes on "training", phone sync, etc.. For me service was as good, or better than Montreal delivery. I...

    Trip planner issues - Ontario

Just finished 1st road trip - Ottawa <-> SW Ont (only had 70D for 2 months). I too experienced the "return to xx Supercharger" minutes after leaving and being told that I'd charged enough + often 10-15min extra charging. FWIW I think the problem is tied to avg. energy consumption used in...
