Now that there is essentially no scheduled services for Teslas, has anyone started their own routine for such items as lubricating door hinges, trunk/frunk latches etc? How about those moving parts in the FWDs? Simple items. Thanks for comments and directions.

Anyone know where one might get a charge in Cuba, NM?

We want to take our X into Chaco Canyon. We can charge in Farmington on our way in. Coming out we would like to continue on to Albuquerque. An overnight charge from even a 120 V source in Cuba would get us into ABQ easily. The route is 224 miles Farmington/CCanyon/ABQ. Doable but tight...

Now that sentry mode with multiple cameras are functional what are owners using for flash drives? Abiquiu charging

Last year we stayed at the Ghost Ranch and charged our X using a level 1 power source they have for their golf carts. It was a dodgy setup at best. Neither Charge Point nor Plug Share show any sources for EVs in the area. Has anyone any alternative suggestions for charging in that area? Thanks,

    Chaco Canyon access

Does anyone know if there is any place near or in Chaco Canyon where one can charge their EV? Plug Share and Charge Point do not show any sources in the region. Farmington and ABQ are all some distance away. Has anyone gone in from the Gallup side? Cuba looks to be the possibility if the is...

    Refinish interior wood trim

I do not like the open grain finish on the wood trim. Much prefer the lacquer or equivalent kind of finish. Has anyone refinished their wood trim in that manner? I see there are some wood appliqué kits out there but do not feel up to trying to install it and have not found anyone in Portland...

Change in vampire draw with 18.44-641a....., version 9

On V-8, the typical vampire draw was between 2 and 3 miles per 24 hours of sitting. Since V-9 was downloaded about a month ago, the vampire draw has jumped to about 9 miles lost per 24 hours. The car is always plugged in with battery level set to about 257 miles/about 87%. It generally...

How to download from dash cam to iPhone

I just installed a COzero dash cam in our MX. Installation was a breeze. However making the Wlan connection to the iPhone took a while, instructions for this step are scarce. With the iPone connected to the dash cam, I can see the files/recorded on the phone however when I click download of a...

Has anyone experience with the COzero dash cam?

This was found on the Teslarati site as well as TMC. Dashcam for Model X AP2 – COzero International It looks interesting but has little information on the camera itself, namely resolution and such. Installation looks very easy and integrates into the mirror housing. Does anyone have any...

    Portland To Winnemucca

We are evaluating a route from Portland, OR, to the SW and would like to go via Winnemucca, NV. We see that there is supposed to be a public (?) charger in Burns, OR, and a charger at "Say When", Mcdermitt, NV. Does anyone know anything about the Burns charger, exact location, level...

I went to the dump / recycle center to dispose of some waste yesterday and asked the attendant to weigh the car on the way out. The weight was 5,400 pounds. I weigh about 180 so that leaves about 5,200 pounds for the car. There were a number of odds and ends in the car including tow ball...

    Tesla and driver impairments

A few days ago I allowed a friend to test drive our MS/AP1. As we were returning home, he observed that he felt the car was “looking out” for him. What he had noticed was how the IC image of the car while picking up and signaling close proximity of parked cars and other objects as we went...

Are MX interior lights any better than MS lights?

The first mod we made to our MS was to replace the LED interior lights with the Abstract Ocean set. We have an MX on order and wonder if the Tesla is still using the weak LED interior lights? Thank you

    Summon question

With AP1, when initiating summon, must the front wheels be oriented straight ahead? Our parking slot is in an underground parking garage and I have been yet to use summon because of the tight quarters. On the other hand it would be handy to have the car pull out a far enough to easily get in...

    pedestrians and V8.1(17,11,10) release

Yesterday afternoon while driving on a two way city street, a pedestrian crossed about 15 yards in front of us. Tread wear question

Tesla rotated my tires today. With 7,800 miles, all four tires measure 7mm outer side, 7mm middle and 6mm inside. These are Michelin Primacy, 19" tires on a MS-70D. Close to 80% of the miles on the car are highway miles as opposed to local miles. Tire pressure has been kept at about 45 psi...

Summon ready for turning into perpendicular parking slots

I am not talking about exiting/entering a parking slot by commanding the car to go straight in or out of the parking slot. Our parking slot is in an underground parking garage that has a 19 foot wide open lane between the two rows of perpendicular parking slots, each roughly 9 feet across...

    Tire repair kits

I believe there is a thread somewhere on this but have not found it. I know Tesla has a kit and there are some other kits, compressor and some sort of injectable plug material.
