I love it....but I can walk to Chadstone Shops ;)

    Chadstone Store - Closed 24/10/23

Orginally that is what Tesla did for a few years before the shop in Chadstone Shops. In Doncaster Shops I here Tesla have a big display akin to what you have said.

    Chadstone Store - Closed 24/10/23

Yep...I guess Chadstone Shops wanted to charge too much for rent...it was a good profile and with the new Model 2 coming would have been exceptional exposure. Now BYD and Polestar have the best exposure in Chadstone Shops. Closest store is now: 649 Springvale Rd, Mulgrave VIC 3170

    Charge On Solar Australia

Actually, with ChargeHQ you can priorities your battery or car....I believe you can even say things like when the car gets to 50% put the rest in to the home battery....when it is full continue on the car...etc.

    Charge On Solar Australia

I just look at it from a personal viewpoint. I’ve not paid for electricity, or grid supply charge, in nearly 5 years (since the PW2 was installed). Even with the 2x EVs charged up and household (with zoned air-con) I produce and dump in to the grid, around 5 months of the year, enough to...

    Charge On Solar Australia

You are correct and I am seeing that this morning. ChargeHQ is definitely more feature rich. I wish they had a 2x car solution that doesn’t cost $14 per month (what one needs to pay to have it work now with 2x EVs)…at the moment I’ll use my 3 off of Tesla Charge from Solar and ChargeHQ for the...

    Charge On Solar Australia

Yep…Melbourne based. I am on v11.1.2024.2.7 but you’re version is compatible. Mine wasn’t showing, so I did this. - Paired my mobile to the PW2, hadn’t bother to do that before) - Logged out of the app on the phone and back in Presto showed. Showing as this presently.

    Charge On Solar Australia

Agreed, I’ll continue using ChargeHQ on the X and (not compatible as yet apparently with the Tesla solution) native Tesla app on the 3.
  10. EcoCloudIT

    Charge On Solar Australia

If you don’t have a battery then I think using ChargeHQ will work but it will be dependent on your inverter.
  11. EcoCloudIT

    Charge On Solar Australia

I think it uses the gateway in the PW2+ in order to help make it all work…plus the PW2 is used in edge cases if the sun drops but it is likely to come back, so it smooths it all out. You’re right, it should be possible to work without a battery and indeed ChargeHQ does.

Refresh Model X & S Waiting Room - AUSTRALIA (Orders cancelled by Tesla May2023)

We tested the EQS SUV and the EQE SUV...the wife didn't like the size of the EQS (bigger than the X) but it was a very nice SUV...it's also not over the top expensive given it is a a Merc "S", from memory it was $208,000 drive away (no soft close doors at this price point, not sure if it's an...

Refresh Model X & S Waiting Room - AUSTRALIA (Orders cancelled by Tesla May2023)

We had a deposit on the EQE SUV500 and the wife decided against it the day before picking up (luckily I had an out)...she wants to keep her X until she can buy a new X....given we have an 8 year warranty (warranty goes until August 2026, very lom km's so no issue there either) on everything I...

O Oh well, must be Elon time as it’s still not showing for me and I have all the boxes ticked for it to show (equipment/firmware etc.).

    Charge On Solar Australia

What is control over charging rate? It’s seems from what I’ve read Tesla app has this, no? Also, what is grid aware functionality? I don’t use the scheduler however Tesla explain how one can combine scheduling and the new charge on solar functionality. Of course it’s all a moot point as it’s...

    Charge On Solar Australia

I'll keep Charge HQ for the mid-2018 X and if Tesla system works well for the 3 that would be nice....it's still not showing.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

@paulp is hardly a negative nancy, on this forum he is one of the few qualified to comment on Tesla vs Merc EQE (hint: he owns both)….like Paul we have both own multiple Tesla’s (and still do) and from the very early days. Will Tesla get it right? As a stock holder I hope so, as an end user...

Charging from Excess Solar with Teslapy

Same idea for us, we went electric mower many many years ago now 😉 We have gone low to no meat consumption and embarked on minimalism on our purchases (waste bin goes out once a month and generally 75% empty) etc. Once the changes are made and habit kicks in it’s really not hard “to do”. Next...

Charging from Excess Solar with Teslapy

We charge 2x EVs from the sun, run the house and charge up the PW2. 4-5mths a year we have zero issue doing this with no grid draw (build up credit in excess), 4-5mths a little planning and break even (including off setting supply charge), 2-3mths we draw from the grid however the excess from...

State based EV road user charge (Overturned 18/10/23)

Even more so if you log in to your VICRoads account they are telling people to still pay any noticed of assessment of charges until further notice...surely they would be deemed an at the least "issue/unfair" or more so down right out illegal now?

Yep, but being a long time Tesla driver (8 years+) it seems to be new behaviour…I’ve only tested in 3, not sure on the X. But I’m back in Shanghai tomorrow (in country China at the moment), when I am back I am going to try a bunch of Chinese EVs and their various AP implementations….looking...

Try taking your hands of the screen and then presend your looking at your phone and generally not paying attention...I'm convinced that my 3 will prompt all the time if I am not paying attention (15s) but if I am paying attention then longer....both with no hands on the steering wheel.

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

Yes...like my AP1 was meant to always feel like a new car and would eventually drive itself (lots of broken promises there in that it never could drop me at the front my house and park itself). Then came along AP2, Tesla/Musk says 100% we will be FSD by years end...this was in 2017...didn't...

Of course our recent quarter had a spike, it was just before our incentives was pulled. I would say your figures proves my point...our 12 mths average is 6.5% however our last quarter, just before incentives got pulled, spiked up over 3% (so incentives do work and extra taxes do the...

    Model 3 Servicing - a thing?

Exactly, never paid a service charge due to warranty issues every 6 months or so...exactly what we have found...even have managed to get wheel alignments done free as Tesla had to do this that or the other on the suspension. This is our experience with owning a Model S, 3 and X....honestly...

Refresh Model X & S Waiting Room - AUSTRALIA (Orders cancelled by Tesla May2023)

Why not sell to RHD markets if there is so much profit per car? Both our S/X orders got cancelled with Tesla's excuse pointing to it not be economically feasible to produce for RHD markets...
  45. EcoCloudIT

    Tesla Software updates - Australia

That's true, however the implied warranty (according to the ACCC) is a component such as the MUC should last a lot more than 4 years...a lessor important part Tesla could argue the warranty stands. I would push for reimbursement.

Not yet, but Tesla have tested the battery and say it is all good and I have no reason to disagree with them. It is not like our X has been loosing range from new as I am sure Tesla would shove in our face saying that degradation is not part of the warranty for 2018 and earlier models. Our...
