    Salvaged VIN #531 on ebay

I've bought this car, have had it for about 3 years and use it every day as my commuter vehicle. I'm upgrading to a new i-Pace and am going to sell the Tesla and I'm looking for guidance on what it's worth. As a salvage title, Tesla won't service/repair it and they won't sell parts for it but...

Decelerating over a bump causing Roadster to lurch forwards

Yes you're right on all counts.

Decelerating over a bump causing Roadster to lurch forwards

Accumulation of dirt in the fans causing it to fail, hence causing overheating apparently. He stripped the whole drivetrain and cleaned it all out. Apparently it was a dirt-fest.

Decelerating over a bump causing Roadster to lurch forwards

And as soon as I said it, it broke down ;p DMC FW: PhaseC OverTemp fault Luckily my service guy was able to fix it and did a full drive and PEM service at the same time.

Decelerating over a bump causing Roadster to lurch forwards

Still driving it. I was able to find someone to service it for me and they had to jump through a few hoops to get parts. The downside is it takes weeks to get serviced so I try to get things done when on vacation. I still wait for something catastrophic to happen to it and won't be able to fix...

Decelerating over a bump causing Roadster to lurch forwards

Thanks all. I can relax now, consider this normal behavior and no longer anticipate the day when the wheels are going to fall off.:(

Decelerating over a bump causing Roadster to lurch forwards

My 2010 roadster has always had this issue and I'm not sure if it happens on ALL roadsters or just mine. On a flat road, when I decelerate the regen braking kicks in and you see the Amp gauge swing to charging (OK, that's all pretty much as you would expect). When you do the same thing but go...

Deactivated Salvaged Roadster - Service Resources

For the record (I have already stated this in my personal communication to you) that you willfully and cynically withheld the critical disclosure that you knew that I would be unable to get service and support from Tesla. I call this "dumping your trash". While not illegal, it is ethically and...

Deactivated Salvaged Roadster - Service Resources

It's all relative - my other car is a Maserati GT (another mid life crisis in a long series of mid-life crises) so in comparison, the salvage roadster is a beater

Deactivated Salvaged Roadster - Service Resources

The "deactivate" term was used by their certified inspection shop and refers to Tesla deactivating the vehicle from a support perspective. I should feel glad I guess that they can't physically deactivate it ;p

Deactivated Salvaged Roadster - Service Resources

And for the record, I was aware that it was a salvage title, but not aware of Tesla's policies on supporting (or not) salvaged vehicles. I bought it primarily as a "beater commuter" car to take advantage of CA's carpool lane rules, save gas and save putting mileage on my "real car". I...

    Yes it's the same car.

Deactivated Salvaged Roadster - Service Resources

I'm looking for a resource to get service for a Telsa Roadster (000531). A few months ago, I bought a salvaged Roadster and subsequently discovered that Tesla take a unique position whereby they "deactivate" a salvaged vehicle which means you can't get parts and you can't get service. Add to...
