You're right, but I honestly don't see the different, there are 7.0 non auto pilot cars all over the world, it's not like the API is mature enough for us to hack the car and install auto pilot ourselves, the UI in the instrument panel are different too.

If that's the case, then there's really no reason for them to downgrade my software. I've opted for almost all options, except cold weather package and, autopilot. My car doesn't have autopilot. I honestly don't care about autopilot, I just want the bug fixes and hill assist from 7.0.

A little update. Car was delivered back to me today, all the alerts were due to a minor charge port hardware malfunction, which took Tesla service an afternoon to fix. But that hardware was out of stock, so I had to wait 2 weeks.....I actually have the loaner in my possession longer than my own...

Alternatively you can wrap only the front end, bumper and hood, I asked Wrapworkz for a Xpel front wrap and it will cost around $15k. Xpel is indeed very expensive.....

It seemed to me it really depends on luck when picking up a Tesla....And I actually didn't ask for a loaner, Tesla offered it, their staff mentioned the alerts made the car unsafe to drive and they don't want me to take the risk, maybe because of that.

They will give you a card after your 880XX coating, it's something like a log card. You'll get 36 car washes for $90 each if you did 880XX with them, otherwise the car wash is $180, the card is to record how many times you have used the $90 wash.

They did, weekly car wash using non wax soap and then monthly wash with their $90 car wash service. Of course if your car is parked inside the garage you could stretch a bit longer.

This is what I learned from my sales. I asked specifically, they will buy back your car with cash, in exactly 3 years, 36000km. No deal anymore than 3 years, and every km more than 36000 is $3 or $4 ( forgot the exact ) deduction.
