Aluminum Pedal Upgrade - 15 minutes and 1000% improvement

I managed to get an OEM brake & accelerator (used the part numbers and ordered them as accessories just after I'd placed the order for my 90D) but bought the dead-man from Jerry. Easy to install and completes the set nicely. I like the mats :)

    Audio system upgrades in Australia

If you can find an installer then count my in ... I'm keen on the Light Harmonic system with the replacement amp & woofer ... seems like a good drop in replacement .... I'm also going to see if there was something similar with a Bluetooth module that allowed it to be configured via an app or...

    Xpel - recommendation for Melbourne

i had James wrap the car 10 days ago ... he didn't use XPEL on mine, instead he used Premiumshield Elite and his team did an excellent job on it (I will certainly recommend them to anyone looking to get a full or part clear bra on their car). I havent had had a chance to "test" the wrap yet...

TeslaLog.com - Your hosted Tesla Data Logger - Announcement / Support threads

I'm looking at starting something in the new year that might help with this, so that you can avoid some of the issues - it's a replay of some of the data federation work my company carries out for Telcos, Banls etc. and will help with data ownership/security issues ... like you I just need to...

    A sticky charge port ...

Thanks for the toothpick trick .. I'll keep some in the car :) Hopefully door mechanism update will be something that can be installed retrospectively

    A sticky charge port ...

Just popped to the supercharger for some juice and the charge port refused to open - it wouldn't open when commanded from the touch screen, by the charger or by the phone ... there was some clinking going on but no door action. One of the guys from the showroom popped out and gave it a few...

    Audio system upgrades in Australia

Thanks for the kinks @whitestar ... the second one is very informative and the first one with the system from Light Harmonic looks very interesting ... I will probably drop them a line to find out whether they can recommend an installer etc in Australia. I will also look at replacing the...

    Audio system upgrades in Australia

i have to admit that I'm confused by all of this ... I too bought the upgraded sound system and I'm pretty much underwhelmed - my last car was an S5 with the B&O system and it had much greater bass, more overall fidelity and just was better to my ears ... same sound source (Bluetooth to the...

    Alcantara, alcantara, alcantara !!

Thanks guys - I'll ask the SC about any potential effects of wrapping the steering wheel. @iadbound : the SC have said they are happy to remove and re-attach the trim pieces, and the trimmer is happy doing the work so long as they get the pieces already removed As an aside, apparently Tesla...

    Alcantara, alcantara, alcantara !!

I've had my Model S for 2 weeks now and I'm very satisfied ... I didn't get a P model but very happy wth the performance (I came from an Audi S5) and the quality of the interior materials is high ... however :) ... This is the first car where I've ordered Alcantara as a trim (perviously it's...

How often do you have to reset by holding both scroll wheels?

I've had the car for about 2 weeks now and did my first reset ... the proximity beeps, and the beep/bong that accompanies turning on/off either TACC or Autopilot, had been "replaced" by the phase-fire that usually only happens when it's an OMFG event. The phaser fire scares the crap out of me...

Alloy Gators Rim Protection (Pics and info)

I'm going through the same learning experience - I also know that no matter how careful I am, I will eventually scuff the alloys (either because I haven't noticed a curb or because the car-park exit is too tight or some such thing) ... so I am looking at Alloygators too. I'm glad artsci posted...

    Sydney to Adelaide (without Melbourne)

@omniwolf - I can't give much help here (I only received my Model S 5 days ago and it's mainly been used tootling around Melbourne - first big trip will be the safe & standard run to Syndey) but I'm interested in how you go. I'm hoping that we might be able to, as a community, could work out a...

Alloy Gators Rim Protection (Pics and info)

Trying to decide between grey & back alloy gators to go on my 21" grey turbines ... the grey protectors look like a close colour match but is it close enough ? :) I'd love to hear peoples opinions ... grey or black?

    Alloygator Installer Recommendation - Melbourne

Thanks AY ... I'll take a look at them - I did some research and it seems the alloygators are more "substantial" but I shall investigate further - - - Updated - - - Cheers Dborn ... I know if I did it I'd either end up breaking something, breaking myself or gluing myself to the car ...

    Alloygator Installer Recommendation - Melbourne

I usually last about 1 month before something stupid happens with a new car, and that's usually Curb Rash ... so I'm keen on getting some Alloygators installed on my 21" Grey Turbines. Can anyone recommend an installer in Melbourne that could help (I've watched the videos and I'm pretty...

2500-mile trip results in scratched Model S

My sentiments exactly - I'm sorry that your car was bumped, even with the insurance fixing it up the incomvenience of it all is a right royal pain in the "rear quarter". Accidents do happen and at least the lady had the decency and honesty to leave you a note <rant> I'm in Australia and it...

    Xpel - recommendation for Melbourne

I was (still am) a little unclear on that too :) ... wrap then Opticoat ... or ... Opticoat then wrap ... or Opticoat then wrap then Opticoat ... however, from what I understand putting the Opticoat on top of the wrap will provide extra protection to the wrap and the coating helps with keeping...

    Xpel - recommendation for Melbourne

I'm close to receiving delivery of my Model S (hopefully in the next couple of weeks) from the SC in Melbourne, and I'd like to get get a full wrap with Xpel (some idiot managed to rub up against the bumper of my current car and leave a nice big 30cm long scratch - so I want to avid any of that...
