Got the last available one this afternoon. It's weird on the app and touchscreen, sometimes will say 3/12 free, then check a few minutes later and it says 2/2 free or 1/1 free.

Took X there this week. They don't have loaner cars at this location yet so if you need that I would go to another.

I'm the opposite. I have a Model X 75D and Model 3 Performance. I think even if I had the X Performance I woudn't drive it as fast as the 3. Just something about being heavier and takes longer to brake that makes it feel more dangerous when flooring it than a lighter more nimble car to me.

294 lifetime myself in 3 Performance, 333 in my old Model S 85D and 420 in Model X 75D. I wouldn't change driving habits and too much for a little more efficiency, just have fun! These things cost much less to drive than ICE vehicles anyway.

I've had three Teslas and have never get close to the rated range on any. I typically expect to get 75 to 85% of what it says. I drive 5 MPH more than speed limit, autopilot always when on freeways, southern California weather. I don't think you can get the rated range unless you drive 60 MPH...

Same reason why all high performance cars like Corvettes, Porsches, Ferraris have larger wheels. Looks, better road feel and ability to install larger brakes. Do you want a Lambo to have 15" wheels and gigantic side walls?

I like not having a transmission cause one less thing to go wrong and maintain. But I feel the Performance models would have better top end acceleration if we had gears?

Mine does this too. I never thought about it being the speed limit but makes sense. I always thought it was because the shadow of the overpass fooled it into thinking it was a car or something.

Heard 4s are the best. Haven't heard a bad thing about them.

The Model 3 Performance is now like $50K new. I wouldn't pay more than that for used regardless of options.

Interesting, I've never scraped in mine, I don't think it's too low. Unlike my old Model S 85D which would bottom out on some speed bumps even while driving slow when I had 5 people in it.

Yeah, I have mine auto fold when I get home. When I leave the house, I don't manually unfold because it does that automatically once I drive off within a block

Just get the Performance if you can afford it. It's an incredible deal, less than $60k to beat Corvettes and M3's.

OK, but we can still deduct 70% of tires, maintenance, etc if we state that we are using the X for 70% business use, correct?

Question, if we write off the entire car (or a percentage like 70 or 80% based on business use), then we don't write off the car payments each month, correct? Otherwise seems like we'd be writing it off twice.

Yeah, why would you want it to beep for every single car that's in the next lane? It would be going off every few seconds and you'd get used to it and ignore it. Also would be annoying.

Wife's X got plates within 2 weeks. My 3 has been like 2 months and no plates.

Problem with keeping the X out of warranty is the damn falcon doors. I'm sure they will have issues and cost thousands to fix each time. The car was delayed a couple years cause of door quality issues.

True, I believe even with the Performance model, stickier or wider tires haven't been proven to help in launching. I think the AWD system does it's job well.

Was your phone connected to the vehicle via bluetooth? Sometimes if you get a phone notification it can lower the volume, depending on your phone settings.

What's the best way to launch an EV anyway? Just use one foot and go from brake to accelerator quickly? Or do you use two feet like an ICE auto and rev the accelerator and then let off brake?

I've had an S and now an X and I never get close to the range indicated. I get somewhere between 75 to 85%. Never had a speeding ticket in my life, drive 70 to 75 mph always on the freeway. You'd need to drive with no hills, 60-65 mph, no AC, perfect weather, to get what it states I think.

Also better warranty, no expensive maintenance, safer, carpool lane sticker in California etc. Wouldn't a better comparison be to M4 though?

My seat that has a child seat requires me to hold the button. The other seat with no child seat you just tap it once.

Same reason why the web browser is way faster? Cause your $1,000 smart phone is faster and built to do those tasks?
