The scene yesterday 10/11/2017... Electricians from Sioux City were working on wiring... still a lot of wiring to be done. They had wired one before so are familiar with SuperCharger Station Installations. I didn't ask when they expected to be finished.

I agree... but Tesla is likely last to do their thing... testing... thus, the Superchargers may not be open this month due to no work on them by Tesla... just an intuitive guess.

Given Elon's internal email plea to put priority on "deliver cars" and "cut costs" until the end of the quarter, I wonder if Superchargers management has sent their departments on vacation... maybe nothing "Tesla" will be getting done on Superchargers until October. Thus the West Des Moines...

@Fudge, You are correct, that 4064 E 53rd St Hy-Vee/ address location where the new Supercharger is located is in Davenport... near Bettendorf city limits, but still in Davenport. You can confirm by locating maps of Bettendorf city limits.

Darn! It's not looking like W Des Moines will be open by the time I travel SW through there Fri, 16 Sep. I guess I will have to do another overnight destination charge at the Jordan Creek Holiday Inn.

Just stopped by the Coralville HyVee and spoke to someone "in the know." So far Tesla is staying mum even to them about when it will open. He said he thought that there would be an opening celebration. I suspect that days before the celebration it would be announced by Tesla and HyVee...

Coralville, IA Superchargers construction status: Monday 25 July, 2016. I wanted to ask the work crew if they knew of an estimated date of completion, but they were inside the HyVee having a phone teleconference.

I too agree. It just made sense to be able to charge as fast as possible at capable destination chargers; more destination charge stations are offering higher power.

Beware! I learned the hard way: if you want XM Satellite capability with the UH Fidelity Sound, you must also select the Pano Roof!! I missed that when ordering and the salesman on the phone with me failed to mention it too... I kind of wanted XM, but it won't work without the Pano Roof...

Yeah, I am surprised there isn't a Supercharger down around Tucson. Even if I got there I'd be stuck looking for a reasonably close (to Oro Valley) destination charge station that could supply at least 19.2kW/ 80A... that's one reason I went ahead and got the Dual Charger so most destination...

@Brunton, I were you I would keep checking back on "My Tesla." Of course when I ordered online (with help of a Chicago sales rep on the phone with me), the sales rep said I would have to wait 7 days before it would confirm... and in that meantime I had opportunity to make configuration changes...

The Model S Design Studio delivery date is a phony "come on" date. On 1 Dec when I entered my order it read "Late December." But when my order was Confirmed on 2 Dec the estimated delivery slipped all the way to "Late January, Early February." @Lesifass speculation that end of year emphasis...

@breser, thank you for setting up the Tracking Spreadsheet. I entered my data on Line 32 of the Jan - Mar 2016 Tab. I see that some formulas that calculate days between dates somehow got corrupted. Maybe you or some other moderator can repair those formulas. Thanks, Bob
