Model S Refresh - Rear Rattle and Suspension Clunk Help

I have this exact issue with a November 2021 build. Right rear latch rattle is very loud. Put the seat down and it goes away. I’ll try to fix with friction tape over the U bar. If anyone knows about a permanent fix from Tesla, please let us know.

FORGED 19" Martian MW03 Rims with Federal 595-RS-RR Tires

No need to roll the fenders. They fit fine with MPP BBK which extends the wheels about 3mm. If you have OEM brake discs you may need a 2-3mm spacer for the fronts only. Rims are about 22lbs and tires are 29lbs.

These are my summer rims and tires. I already have an extra set so these need to be sold. Only used for a few months during the summer and are in excellent condition. No dings or scratches. Color is SATIN BLACK. These are custom spec 19x10.5 ET+25 and are very lightweight. Model 3 specific hub...

My Tesla tried to kill us today

Autopilot is only to be using on freeways and highways, while you hands are on the wheel. Appears you used it on surface streets. Occasionally AP will do things like this and you must always be watching it. Glad you and your family are safe.

Anyone Try Konig's Hypergram Rims For Track Day?

The clearance will be close but even with standard OEM performance brakes 275/35 will fit. If it’s too close for your comfort you can add a thin 2-3mm spacer.

Anyone Try Konig's Hypergram Rims For Track Day?

Go with 275/35/19. It’s a good mix of width, wheel diameter and tire clearance.

Fair price for Model 3 Performance FSD with only 4,716 miles and many extras ?

I’m in the same boat. Considering selling my 2018 as well but realistically a fair price is low-mid $50’s with FSD. Taking a $30,000 bath sounds atrocious to me. That’s what we get as early adopters and I decided to wait it out another year. GLWS.

yes Hoosier A7’s 285/30/18. Works great. Keeps the costs down. For the track I try to use a taller tire. 275/35/19

UP MODEL 3 PIKES PEAK RACE CAR

My best guess as to what happened is tires and road conditions. This morning was a different part of the road course and is known for being very bumpy. Tires were probably too cold and dirt or gravel from a preceding vehicle caused it to spin out. They do have dashcam video which they will share...

Launch mode for Tesla Model 3 thoughts (M3 Cheetah)

You're correct, it's still the large induction in the rear for Raven X & S. PMSR in the front which gives the X incredible efficiently. I routinely see under 295wh/mi street roads and 335wh/mi highway at 75mph. Much better than pre-raven X's.

SCCA Autocross Class for the Model 3

You're correct about the power being cut at certain high steering angles. It's annoying, but I find it's faster around the course to have some stability control on than not. The line between grip and no grip on these tires is thin. Here are a few pictures from the event.

Last week's Autocross with the Lonestar BMW chapter. Very fun and fast course. Third overall. Real feel temp outside was 115 and it was unbearable. I can't wait for fall! SCCA Autocross Class for the Model 3

In SS I believe you can go up to 9.5” rim and any tire size. Offset must be within 7mm of stock 35et, but you can run spacers. I would go RE-71 275/35/18 on a 18x9.5 +35et. I’m confident they will fit without a spacer. This will give you a lot more grip compared to your 255. My front sway is...

MASTER THREAD: Comprehensive Road-Course Modification Guide — Optimizing the 3 for the track

I went through a set of front tires in less than 7,000 miles with a more aggressive alinement, so this new setup is a good compromise between daily driver and track. Plus at this ride height I couldn’t get anymore rear camber. I set the rear toe in slightly because the rear was floating a bit at...

MASTER THREAD: Comprehensive Road-Course Modification Guide — Optimizing the 3 for the track

Here are my alinement settings at 110mm ground to battery. It’s very difficult to get more than -2.8 camber on the front. The car will understeer more than oversteer so you may want to purchase UP sway bars and go full soft front and full stiff rear. I can get my car to rotate nicely. Also...

    Adjustable Rear Control Arms

We may be talking about two different types of control arms. A rear control arm, as radlaw asked about is not used to adjust the rear camber. You would use a rear camber arm for that. I answered his question referring to rear control arms, which you should not adjust even if you lower your...
  42. TexasTeslaRacing

    Adjustable Rear Control Arms

These do not lower your ride height. They reduce suspension movement in the rear, slight weight reduction and improved durability over OEM parts. You only need these if you are aggressively tracking your car.
  43. TexasTeslaRacing

    Adjustable Rear Control Arms

I don't believe adjustable arms are needed for the Model 3 because once you start changing the length of the suspension components you can cause more harm than good. Where these would be beneficial is the bushings appear to be sealed and therefore will have less deflection under hard cornering...

    Tire inflation question

45-47psi cold is the sweet spot. If you go higher you will have more wear in the middle of your tires, reducing their life.

    Martian Wheels MW03

The 4S does well in the cold and wet, but not if there is snow. In Texas they are the perfect tires, even in winter. The Pilot Sport a/s3+ and Pireli P Zero AS+ are excellent choices too.
