Supercharger - Buellton, CA (temporary closure)

Okay, the Buellton CA supercharger is getting a full up rebuild. Looks like 16 V3's (4's?) .

Supercharger - Buellton, CA (temporary closure)

I stopped by the two SC's closest to me: Vandenberg Village (Lompoc) and Buellton, The VV unit has the xfrmr installed and there is a 200 yard trench covered by dirt and steel Plates that runs to Constellation Rd where i assume it ties into the grid Seems like: tie it in both ends and pave the...

    Supercharger - Waitomo

What connector do you use down under? I assume it's a CCS2 with the two DC ports hanging down from the main body of the connector?

Supercharger - Buellton, CA (temporary closure)

Remember the SC in Vandenberg Village (20 miles away) is almost on line. Last i saw there, they were in wait mode for the transformer. I really want the Buellton to come back as well. It's my go-to SC as i only live 8 miles away. Yes, Anderson's Pea Soup is gone, but it was getting seedier...

Motorized chair platform for Model 3

My partner needs a motorized, collapsible mobility chair. We would like to mount a carrier to the back of the car which can go down to the ground so that the COLLAPSED chair can be easily put on the carrier and then the carrier lifted (motor? hand crank?) so that she can drive away. When she...

    Charging fault at supercharger

Wow, that's extreme. I've been taking long distance trips since 4/25/2018. No problems using Superchargers. This "firmware issue" is new to me. Thanks for posting this. I believe in Tesla, the Superchargers and the adventure of getting out on the road. Make it happen.

    Supercharger - Baker, CA (LIVE / EXPANDED 40 V2 + 20 V3 stalls)

Stopped at Baker Supercharger yesterday. The Electrify America system is adding two(?) more CCS/Chademo stations. They've really done a nice job of making it look good. The whole EA area is fenced off while the work's being done. In the pix you'll see a massive 40 Tesla chargers and then the...

    Picked Up My Red MY

jf64k, Was it you that tested COVID-19 positive, or one of the delivery folks? Sorry to hear that. At eighty, me and partner are trying hard to not do close contact things. Bluedog

Supercharger - Buellton, CA (temporary closure)

The two previously damaged stations have their cables draped over the top, meaning they aren't working. The one that was most severely damaged, hasn't worked since the unit was replaced. I wonder if there's some service needed to reactivate them. I was really cheered up when they replaced the...

    2 year anniversary

Trojaneen, i have had the exact same experience: ordered at 10:00 am on March 31st, 2016. Took delivery at 1:00pm on April 25, 2018. Off we went from our house in Lompoc CA and took an anxiety free trip to Calgary and back. Love this car. Model 3, Red, aero wheels, long range battery, Tesla...

    Supercharger - Goleta, CA (LIVE 6 May 2020, 12 V3 stalls)

Here's why the pedestals ought to be totally "back into to charge" type. This is the Buellton, CA supercharger. There was the far one damaged a month ago and now the totally damaged one in the front. What's with people?

    The argument *against* a 2nd gen Model S & X

I'm for staying with the existing body design. Yes, there are updates as mentioned above that would improve the car and those should, of course, be implemented as the production of S/X continues, but look at the Toyota Prius. My first of three was a 2007, i think. A beautiful body design that...

Where are the Tesla Supercharger towers made ?

I've looked, half heartedly, to see if there's a thread that discusses the location of the supercharger tower build. I believe it's in Fremont but that's based on no knowledge. Seems like the under used GF2 in Buffalo would be the perfect place to off load that to. I also would be...

Supercharger - Buellton, CA (temporary closure)

The Tesla screen when activated on Buellton, says typically: "6 of 9 Stations availble" Where'd the "9" suddenly come from? There are ten stations and up until a few days ago there was no mention of "... 9 Stations..." I looked to see if there was one station with it's "Tesla" lite out...

Auto steer Not ready for prime time

All the experiences enumerated here are what i've noticed since taking delivery of our Model 3 in April. The Version 9 upgrade really was an improvement. I now use Auto Steer all the time on our local roads. When they fan out into confusing multiple lanes, i've learned to simply let the M3...

    Order estimate pushed back

We ordered our M3 on 3/31/16 at 10:00am when the Santa Barbara office opened. We got our notice on 2/28/18 and i believe it was a couple of weeks before we got up the courage to make the final commitment. Delivery was 4/25/18 at 1:00pm, but who's counting? Let me say: "IT'S WORTH THE WAIT!" We...

A flight instructor teaches Tesla Autopilot

This has been a great learning blog for me. I am new to Tesla with just taking delivery of my Red Model 3. I feel more connected to the driving experience and, believe me, my hands are on the wheel full time when in Auto Steer. Thanks to John Sergeant on Motley Fool Tesla board for directing...

    Auto lane change not working

I'll add my experiences. Took delivery on April 25th. The Auto Lane Change did not work. I was in Auto Steer, there were no cars anywhere close to me. Simply did not respond in any way to my request for a change to the left lane. Stopped at Tesla service center last week and the OA rebooted...

    Side Mirror Adjustment

Model 3 has a side mirror "deflect downward on backing up" selection. We have activated this and it generally does what one expects. However, three times now, the driver's side mirror has NOT RETURNED to it's normal position once the car is put in D. I assume this is a software glitch. Not...

Tesla Online Shop slow to ship orders?

I ordered the $25 Tesla Charger cable bracket and the $500 Tesla Charger for my expected Model 3. The charger showed up but the cable bracket has not. I got a notice on the charger prior to it being delivered which i appreciated, but nothing on the bracket.
