Winter driving in a non D car

2015 70D 080052 maybe because I don't have subzero package? Maybe the heated wipers have something to do with it. Here's some pics.

Winter driving in a non D car

You are right in that they don't pull up off the windshield to 90 degrees, probably closer to 45 degrees but it does stay up and off the windshield in that position allowing you to change the blades or clean them.

Winter driving in a non D car

In the settings screen there is a service mode for the wipers isn't there? It moves the wipers halfway up where you can lift them up and they stay up. I use this when cleaning the car all the time.

    Best mattresses for Model S

Thanks for this, I also went with the Coleman Single High QuickBed Airbed Twin with the pump and it fits nicely https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B0087N2TKQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Also, I used the parcel Shelf to even it out the dip a little bit (see second picture), still...

So it's not just me. Also driving a 2015 S70D and noticed it seemed quicker as well.

    Vancouver to Alberta Trip Planning

Probably close to an hour. I went with almost a full tank but if your payload is smaller and drive slower (especially the steep uphill up to Merritt) you can definitely get away with less of a charge.

    Vancouver to Alberta Trip Planning

Made a trip from Vancouver to Kelowna this labour day weekend and have a few detailed data points regarding the trip from Hope to Kelowna and back. This was done in about 15degree weather, 400kg payload (5adults plus weekend luggage) and in a S70D 19" tires. Cabin at 22 degrees Hope to Kelowna...

    Western Canada Superchargers

I recently did the Hope to Kelowna trip in June in an S70D with four adults. Filled up to 375kms (~95%) and made it to Kelowna with about 60-70kms (~20%). The section immediately after hope is the steep uphill and the system gave me a warning saying I needed to slow down to make it to the...

Updated supercharger map after yesterday's M3 unveil? For West Canada looks like they added one more station in Southeast Alberta.

    Tesla Owners in British Columbia

I don't know if I'm stupid or what, but does anybody know how to login to post on the forums at the BC Tesla Owners Club website? I try to click login at the bottom but it brings me to a Wordpress login where I can't create an account or anything. I have also filled out the membership form as...

    CANADA Version 7.1

Wonder if us Canadians will get the updated summon (autopark and using the key fob to summon). Right now we're stuck with using the mobile app online. I believe in the US they get to choose not to have to hold down the app button which unlocks more options for summon.

Driver Assistance Features Unavailable after update

Same happened to me when I took my car to Blaine from Vancouver to pick up some packages. Oddly enough the message was only there when I was in the states and went away shortly after returning to Canada. This was on 2.10.xx though.

    Firmware 7.1

I think you need to go through some of the summon options on the app on your phone. Release notes said something about having expanded summon capabilities (summon via fob, auto'un-summon' aka park ater pushing park button twice)only if you select NO for having to have to hold down the button in...

    Western Canada Superchargers

I'm headed to Revelstoke in about 2 weeks and this leg of the trip is the most concerning for me in my 70D. Evtripplanner says I should make it fine, but I'm a little skeptical. Do you use autopilot/tacc to make the trip? What is your avg wh/km for Hope to Kamloops if you know it?

    All weather mats being redesigned

I was on a local waitlist at my SvC since November for the regular floor mats. They were out of stock until they received the redesigned ones in stock. They called me when they were in stock. Even then I don't think that they received that many sets...

    All weather mats being redesigned

Just got the redesigned weather mats. The SvC people said they look way nicer than the old ones (I didn't have the old ones so can't compare). Also, they now just velcro in instead of being screwed down apparently (once again, didn't have old ones so can't compare)? you have to take off the...

Just received 2.9.172 tonight in Vancouver, BC I had already received 2.9.154 earlier this week. Looking through the release notes no new notes. On a 70D non-ap so can't comment on any ap changes (getting ap installed next week). Also updated the firmware tracker.

    Model S Software/Firmware wishlist

It would be useful in colder climates for an option in the scheduled charging to set "finish charge by____". This would allow the car to warm up the battery to maximize regen and wouldn't need to re-adjust the start time based on how much your drove. Could further add onto it by linking into...
