    Octopus Tracker IOS Shortcut

Hi there, I find these shortcuts very useful and have been looking to update mine. The latest ones posted above - these still seem to use the old prices or am I missing something? The shortcuts when I download use 22-11-25 in the api call, where I thought the new prices should use 23-12-06...

Windscreen crack this morning after defrosting

Thanks for the replies. First time since posting I’ve been on the forums so a bit of an update. I inspected the car when the Wife got home on Friday and sure enough there is an impact point further down so looks like a stone chip has caused it initially (not sure when this happened but must...

Windscreen crack this morning after defrosting

I've had my M3P just under a year and this is the first real issue I've had. So basically, we've had cold temperatures and snow here in the North East the last few days. I've always used the defrost mode on the app the de-ice the car before using the car without issue. Did the same again this...

Wiki Everything you wanted to know about Intelligent Octopus But Were Afraid To Ask

I had a similar choice to make recently - and Octopus clearly want more people on IO as it just looks/is the more attractive proposition now than Go. For me it was 4hrs @ 9.5p per kw vs 6hrs @ 7.5p per kw - which made it a bit of a no brainer. Plus, 6hrs is the minimum but you may get more...

So charged up fine last night...full power (32A). So the issue the other night wasn't IO at all. Interestingly, IO gave me a really long schedule last night - from 10.30pm - 08.00am - way more than enough - car was charged by about 4am I think. Perhaps taking into account a slower/16A charge...

I think you might be right on the money with this. I didn’t see it at the time, but I’ve just checked my phone and sure enough…there’s a notification from yesterday saying charge cable not fully secured. I’ve seen this notification before and checked the plug was properly in, but didn’t see the...

Morning…I’ve been on IO for a few weeks now and have encountered my first issue. I’ve done a quick search on this thread and saw a few similar issues but couldn’t find an answer. Anyway, I plugged in last night and got a schedule through as normal. Then I changed the settings a bit - increased...

I’ve put the charge limit in the car to 100%, so I can just set the actual limit in Octopus to what I need. Usually charge to 90% as the car advises. Then just leave it to IO. The only other thing I do is manually stop the initial charge via the Tesla app after plugging in A few people have...

Hmmm. Fair point. I may remove the schedule then for my 1st IO charge tonight and just stop any initial charging via the Tesla app. I’m interested to see how this all works lol

Oh, I forgot to mention I've set the Tesla app to charge at 23:30 to avoid any initial peak rate charging when plugging (seems to be a tip that's worked well for others)

I've just made the switch to IO from Go, as my fixed term on Go expires next month. Seems IO off-peak rate in my area is equal to my current Go rate (7.5p) but cheaper than the new Go rate (9.5p) so thought I'd may as well make the switch now. Test charge done and everything seems to be set...

    Tesla wallcharger or not

I was set on a Tesla but when I looked into them, they seemed to be missing a few features and needed additional installation to make safe. Not sure if that’s still the case. My installer recommended a Wallbox and I went with that. It’s been really good. Have a look into them. I got a Pulsar...

I use it as a rough guide only - still need to look and be aware of what is around you, which is exactly what you should do with USS too. Some talk about USS as if they're absolutely flawless and you could park with USS with your eyes closed, which clearly isn't the case.

The single most annoying thing about my M3P...

I love the car, but there's one thing that is really, really annoying me (there are other niggles but this is the top of the list for me). I've not seen anyone else complain about it, so wondering if it's just my car? Basically, when you trigger your washer jet to wash your windscreen - with...

    M3P Vs standard range

Yeah tbf I think the wife’s use has a lot to do with the efficient being pretty decent. She drives it very steadily whereas I like to get my foot down :p I didn’t buy an M3P to be obsessing over efficiency lol

    M3P Vs standard range

I think that's really good efficiency tbh, especially as you say - right in the middle of winter. Just by way of comparison, I got my M3P similar time to you by the sounds of it (9th Dec collection for me) and have done just under 6k miles - currently averaging 318wh/mile (and falling as the...

Summer is coming (and better real world range)

Yep, I've noticed a nice improvement in efficiency over the last few weeks as the temperature has steadily improved. My lifetime efficiency (5.5k miles) is now down to 320 Wh/mi. It was up at around 340 I think. What's generally the average for a M3P?

I've got the update ready to download tonight when the good lady brings the car home. I did think that after we got the car on 9th December, she'd notice the lack of parking sensors, and I'd have to explain about them and how Tesla Vision is coming (a tough sell imo for a £60k car). Anyway...

That’s good - suspect the extra slot you got to top-up was due to the lost hour as the clocks went forward? I’m on Go and the time change really messed with my Wallbox schedule. I lost an hours cheap rate charging and now my schedule in the Wallbox app is set to start at 2am. I’ve tried to...

I'm thinking of switching to IO. I'm on Go currently and haven't had any issues. Love the simplicity of it. The 4hrs off-peak I get will add about 118miles of range which is fine for my normal usage but if I need a full battery I do need to kind of plan ahead for that and charge up over two...

Yeah, good shout. I did think of Dalton Park actually. Bit more off the A19 than the services but not by much, and would still be a good choice with all the shops/outlets there. Plus, as you say - would serve both directions.

That'd be a good location too, as it's right on the Sheraton junction - dead easy to get to, and would be ideal for those using the A19.

Yeah, there could definitely be more SCs in the North East. Scotch Corner and Washington are the only options. A19 would be a good shout and there are a few sites I can think of that could host them.

Are UK Owners less fussy? Or are we getting a better built product in the first place?

I'm glad my car came from Shanghai, I'll say that. It's not cast-iron proof or evidence of course, but I still see collection videos on youtube of US built cars with build quality issues.
