$250 Model S 19 inch wheel and Goodyear tire

This tire has about 13,800 miles on it. It was removed from a 2013 model s p85. Only one is available and note there is a small chunk of the tire that was minorly damaged (see photo). I can ship for 125 to all 48 states. If you live in Ohio it can be picked up in Cincinnati area. Overall would...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

If the dealer did this it's a big reason tesla buyers prefer their tesla buying experience. One thing I cannot stand is dealers trying to sell "paint protection", "fabric protection", and expensive extended warranties they roll into the payments. Dealers get a bad rap for this very reason. They...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Well I didn't say it wasn't an option- just inconvenient for many. The inconvenient part isn't plugging the vehicle in, it's hiring an electrician to put a fast charge in your garage. Some people just view this as a hassle plain and simple. For me I got lucky and my laundry room is directly...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

My premise isn't "ridiculous" in any way shape or form. People don't like change- people are used to getting gasoline and having their car readily available. You combine this with the increased cost of an ev vs. a Camry and you see why people will opt for the less expensive vehicle. Any buyer...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Be careful voicing your opinion here. You will get attacked by the all knowing following. And I"ve already stated repeatedly that I own a model s p85. Pretty radical the places people go when they don't agree with you.

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

I used a 2018 Camry SE which is the new model and it's trim level is very similar to the base Model 3. I don't see that as cherry picking at all. Someone said you can't even get 18 inch wheels on a Camry - so guess they were wrong.

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Lol----I actually had a nissan versa at one point but it only had 17" aftermarket wheels
  14. dreamingof3

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

More on Camry Vs. Model 3 just to add some facts and ask some questions 1. The 2018 Camry SE comes with 18 inch alloy wheels standard 2. Toyota safety sense is very appealing to many buyers. Does the model 3 give you any safety features standard without purchasing the 5k base auto pilot...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

lol what? I'm sure you are making some cute comparison about how much Tesla sells a car for and their cost to build- that's not my mo here.

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Loses 16k in what time frame. And this dream of cars driving themselves without at least a passive conductor is ludicrous. Why not let planes fly themselves too since they can?
  17. dreamingof3

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Lol that's terrible math, just terrible. You didn't even cite the original purchase price/trim level. So you are saying I can get a 2012 Camry se with 50k miles for roughly 6-8k? Laughable
  18. dreamingof3

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

I like Tesla a lot I have one. I'm saying I don't think it's a 500k volume a year mainstream car and Tesla folks lost their mind. In fact the only reason it's still 35k is because they hade to honor that price so they didn't look like liars. So they begrudgingly did the black one w cloth seats...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Not at all- I'm taking a proven top seller with amazing reliability history and comparing it to a volume wanna be. And Tesla is trying to be in the 500k a year sales category w the 3 so why not compare it to a real life real volume competitor? I keep telling people reservations mean nothing. The...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Actually I can make a point without referencing insults. I still believe the Model S will not meet sales numbers when people see the real price. That's if Tesla doesn't piss enough people off with late deliveries.

Lol thanks for telling me how to drive. Yeah it's a real joy to constantly monitor the speedometer....and the keeping the kw indicator slightly green.....which is why regen is on low will stay there. The only advantage to regen is in constant stop and go traffic aka city driving/traffic jams...
  27. dreamingof3

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Here we go again, you are directly contradicting what Tesla has said directly- the model s is superior in every way to the 3. So if you could get a superior car for about the same price why wouldn't you?
  28. dreamingof3

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

I'm saying people who haven't driven an electric car are in for a huge surprise with regen breaking. You are automatically assuming people who are used to gasoline vehicles will enjoy the car breaking itself. Sure the driving experience is subjective and some people will love it too. The...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

I don't agree - Tesla is trying to take market share from people who normally wouldn't have purchased an electric car by making it "affordable". People want the cool tesla factor and for right now think they can get that for 35k

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

True the camry doesn't have 19 inch wheels but does have 17 standard attractive wheels. My point is Tesla assured a mass market affordable car and probably 200k people will cancel when they see the true price of the car. You can get a brand new camry SE right now for 20,298 after incentives...

    Here's why the 3 isn't a mainstream "affordable" car

Can you imagine Toyota charging 1,000 for any other Camry paint than black? 35k is now 36k Even with a gov credit that car is now 27,500 7,000 more than a 2017 Camry SE on clearance Most people will not get this credit But what about the wheels? If you want anything other than the lame...
