    Supercharger - West Hollywood, CA (LIVE 2 Sep 2022, 8 V3 stalls)

Interesting on the ADA spot as unless they changed the signage, it is explicitly signed to allow non-placarded vehicles to charge ("use last").
  2. S

Supercharger - San Francisco, CA - Powell St (permit found, 19 V3 stalls)

Interesting location. It's not a parking lot of any sort today, but rather a fenced-in vacant lot for the last three or so years, which used to be fully occupied by a restaurant building and what was maybe originally built as a residential duplex next door. The building looks like it was torn...
  3. S

Supercharger - Danville, CA (under construction Jan 2024, 16 V3 stalls)

Could have been a good deal on the lease because of this.
  4. S

    Supercharger - Hawaiian Gardens, CA - 12110 E. Carson Ave. (under construction Feb 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

Location is approximately 33.831189, -118.073551. Address appears to be 12110 E Carson St, Hawaiian Gardens, CA 90716. Seems to be a smaller site, 10-12 stalls, unless there's another section we don't yet have a photo of. I guess the charger cabinets need to go somewhere and we don't have a...
  5. S

Supercharger - Lost Hills, CA - Highway 46E (permit applied)

Looks like the owner had been trying to sell it as a "business park" location (looks more like a shipping distribution center, with a proposal of two buildings totaling 2 million sq ft) since 2021, judging from the Google Street View imagery: Google Maps But it seems there are new different...
  6. S

Supercharger - Bakersfield, CA - Camino Del Rio Ct (LIVE 22 Dec 2023, 20 V3 stalls)

Sounds like they'd prefer if there were more restaurants in easy walking distance without crossing a busy highway? Despite Carls Jr. being 400 ft away as the crow flies, it requires crossing three times at the same traffic light to reach it on foot.
  7. S

Supercharger - Weed, CA (under construction, 16 V4 stalls)

Thanks for the fix! It looks like Google Maps and the permit in the first comment agree that the site under construction is 44 S Weed Blvd, not 109 S Weed Blvd as is listed on supercharge.info, which would explain the misplaced pin.
  8. S

Supercharger - Weed, CA (under construction, 16 V4 stalls)

Oh interesting, I hadn't considered the possibility of the city purchasing a new lot specifically to develop as an EV charging location. I think the other supercharger installations we've seen on public property have all been preexisting parking lots or garages.
  9. S

Supercharger - Weed, CA (under construction, 16 V4 stalls)

The most recent Google street view from 2021 shows the location between Chevron and Valero as a mostly-vacant paved lot for sale, so probably not a public lot. I wonder if Tesla is leasing it, or bought the lot outright. From the photos, it seems supercharge.info has the pin on the wrong side...
  10. S

Supercharger - Van Nuys, CA (under construction Feb 2024, 8 V3 stalls)

Looks like the address for the same permit suddenly changed to a gas station a few miles due north of the previous address? Odd.
  11. S

Supercharger - Weed, CA (under construction, 16 V4 stalls)

The photo is of the Redding Hilltop supercharger, and was posted here: Supercharger - Redding, CA - Hilltop Dr. (LIVE 15 Nov 2023, 44 stalls) Not sure why a picture of a different site was posted, possibly a mistake? @Fnlrun, is that your Twitter, and did you get a pic of the Weed site? (I...
  12. S

Supercharger - Glendale, CA - N Glendale Ave (under construction Aug 2023, 16 stalls)

If the spacing between chargers is not uniform, it's likely because there will be a designated accessible charging space. If so, some restriping is a given. With V4, a centered postion with longer cables would certainly work, but I don't think we've actually seen a location set up that way...
  13. S

Supercharger - Glendale, CA - N Glendale Ave (under construction Aug 2023, 16 stalls)

Seems odd to be installing an unusable pedestal in the meantime, though?
  14. S

Supercharger - Glendale, CA - N Glendale Ave (under construction Aug 2023, 16 stalls)

Maybe they plan to restripe the parking spaces to match the charger post locations?
  15. S

    Supercharger - Pollock Pines, CA (LIVE 18 Jan 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

It's not uncommon for ADA-accessible charging spots to be a bit away from the others. It looks like there are 10 "regular" spots in the photo, so there are likely two accessible ones out of view.
  16. S

Supercharger - Bishop CA - Rocking West Drive (LIVE 22 Sep 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

Incidentally, I don't think the "W" stands for "west", but rather is just a "W" in a cattle brand. It's near Lazy A Drive, Bar L Lane, and Bar M Lane. Though I guess someone should tell Tesla that.
  17. S

Supercharger - Bakersfield, CA - Camino Del Rio Ct (LIVE 22 Dec 2023, 20 V3 stalls)

I thought I saw extra concrete on top of some of them, but now I think I was mistaken. Some of the wood frames looked quite a bit lighter than the others in the posted photos, and I had assumed it was poured concrete.
  18. S

Supercharger - Fremont, CA - Thornton Ave. (Dale Hardware, under construction Jul 2023, 12 V3 stalls)

Looks a bit like the V1 supercharger, which seemed to involve a more complicated multi-step installation with a frame to which electrical "guts" and a cover were mounted, compared to the V2/V3 pedestals that are more of a pre-fabricated integrated unit attaching to the concrete base and incoming...
  19. S

Supercharger - Bakersfield, CA - Camino Del Rio Ct (LIVE 22 Dec 2023, 20 V3 stalls)

The bases look different from what we've seen before, with an added square-profile of concrete. This is likely the first installation with the new V4 pedestal design which, as far as I know, only been seen in diagram form so far. If that's the plan, we may be waiting on the new style of...
  20. S

Supercharger - Bishop CA - Rocking West Drive (LIVE 22 Sep 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

Looks like all the stalls in the photo are pull-through compatible. Hopefully people won't take advantage of the fact they also seem to be park-incorrectly-blocking-three-stalls compatible, if you pull in and use the nearer one.
  21. S

Supercharger - San Jose, CA - S. White Rd. (under construction Mar 2024, 12 stalls)

"Coming soon" locations on Tesla's map are typically rather approximate. The pin location should probably be interpreted as meaning "somewhere in the eastern half of San Jose", not necessarily one of the blocks surrounding that intersection.
  22. S

    Supercharger - Lompoc, CA - Constellation Road (LIVE 23 Apr 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

I think those are just the newer, rectangular and presumably V4-compatible precast bases, which we've seen for some recent V3 installations. If they were poured onsite, I would expect at least some indication of where the casts were they had been poured into. I do see concrete was poured for...
  23. S

    Supercharger - Pacific Grove, CA (LIVE 12 Apr 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

Looks like there's a third charger there hiding behind the other two, so I'd expect there to be 12 stalls total.
  24. S

Supercharger - Sacramento, CA - Delta Shores (under construction Feb 2024, 28 stalls)

If the 8 stall count is from supercharge.info, that's just a placeholder until more details are known, as the public permit info doesn't include how large the site will be. The 501K valuation on the permit sounds more like a larger site, I'd guess 20+ stalls. IIRC, typical valuations for...
  25. S

Supercharger - Anaheim, CA (LIVE 15 May 2019, 14 urban stalls, expansion permit Aug 2021)

It might be very busy lately and Tesla hid it to drive demand to other locations instead? Open locations have been removed from the map (sometimes temporarily) in the past to dissuade use.
  26. S

    Supercharger - Roseville, CA - Freedom Way (LIVE 31 Aug 2023, 24 V3 stalls)

The signage likely indicates only one side is the "right" side. And the positioning is such that it doesn't look to add much more flexibility in where it would reach on the other side.
  27. S

Supercharger - Alhambra, CA - E Bay State St (under construction Mar 2024, 12 V3 stalls)

There are often sites in various stages of planning and construction that are not listed on Tesla's public site, so if a particular site is missing that doesn't mean very much.
  28. S

Supercharger - Milpitas, CA - Barber Ln. (under construction Nov 2023, 20 stalls, Ulferts Center)

Looking at Street View, I see that the parking lot was expanded to the south sometime between 2017 and 2019, adding ~50 spaces. So perhaps it's not as bad as it was. And I'm sure it's worse some times than others -- I was mostly in the area weekday evenings, so wouldn't have seen the peak if...
  29. S

Supercharger - Milpitas, CA - Barber Ln. (under construction Nov 2023, 20 stalls, Ulferts Center)

From the address, this isn't the main Milpitas Square shopping center with 99 Ranch, but the smaller one to the south that mostly just has restaurants (Koi Palace as the anchor tenant). It's been a while since I've been in the area, but I don't remember there being a parking crunch compared to...
  30. S

Supercharger - Yermo, CA - Sunrise Canyon Rd (LIVE 25 May 2023, 40 V3 stalls)

When checking out the location on Google Maps, I noticed the Street View photo seems to show the utility transformer installation in progress. I guess they must have driven by quite recently!
  31. S

Supercharger - Cardiff, CA (permit found)

Pretty sure I've seen several Supercharger permits with a similar declared valuation (though they may have been V2). Seems like it could be an 8-stall installation, but if an accurate value may be too low for more than that.
  32. S

Supercharger - Tehachapi, CA (permit, 40 stalls)

I think the semis use a different, beefier style of charger regular Superchargers (and they also wouldn't fit in normal spaces even if they were compatible). I guess they are just trying to get ahead of future demand for Central Valley/Central Coast <-> Vegas and I-40 trips. It does seem that...
  33. S

    Supercharger - San Francisco, CA - 16th St (LIVE 7 Jul 2023, 12 stalls)

When I was here ten days ago (forgot to post my pictures until now), it looked like at least some of the posts hadn't actually been wired up, despite having the cabinets and conduit runs in place for over a year now. There were a few large spools of wire onsite, and a few of the cabinets were...
  34. S

Supercharger - Sunnyvale, CA - El Camino Real (under construction, 12 V3 stalls)

Those markings are frequently only placed in the accessible spaces, as they are part of the standards for those. Tesla usually just uses red signs to indicate whether spaces are reserved for charging only. So it's those signs (and very likely the utility transformer) that are left to be done here.
  35. S

Supercharger - Beaumont, CA - Oak Valley Village Cir (LIVE 17 Dec 2022, 24 V3 stalls)

I think the V3 sites generally are labeled with numbers, just less prominently than the V2 sites (smaller numbers, not the larger ones in a circle).
  36. S

    Supercharger - King City, CA (LIVE 15 Sep 2023, 16 V3 stalls)

And matches the description in the permit from post #1
  37. S

    Supercharger - Redding, CA (LIVE 11 Oct 2022, 8 V3 stalls)

Guess someone forgot to update it for the last 4 months. It seems to be a somewhat manual process, as the website is often out of sync from the app/car.
  38. S

Supercharger - Barstow, CA - Tanger Way (LIVE, 70 V3 stalls)

L2 chargers are convenient for hotel guests to plug in overnight without worrying about disconnecting, and could reduce demand for L3s. Good for sit-down dining or movie theatres as well, but I don't see either of those near this location. I guess they could also be handy for a long shopping...
  39. S

    Supercharger - Indio, CA (LIVE, 36 V3 + 8 V2 + 2 Urban stalls)

The layout is somewhat similar, at least for the nearest eight on the left side in the photos with spaces on one side. For the more widely-spaced accessible stalls and for the arrangement on the right with stalls on both sides, the prefab blocks we've seen before would not line up. And from...
  40. S

    Supercharger - Indio, CA (LIVE, 36 V3 + 8 V2 + 2 Urban stalls)

Interesting how the actual charging hardware is distributed nearby to each group of four pedestals. Have we seen a site laid out like this before? The vast majority have the charge cabinets placed close together, with longer runs to the pedestals. With this layout, the DC interconnections...
  41. S

    Supercharger - San Francisco, CA - 16th St (LIVE 7 Jul 2023, 12 stalls)

Recently confirmed that the new parking spaces along 16th St are striped. I don't know exactly when that happened; it was probably some time ago, but a small enough change that I didn't really take note of it. Something new on the site when I visited it today though: a new trench heading in...
  42. S

Superchargers in Southern California (location speculation)

There doesn't look like there's enough room (or big enough conduit run, but that's harder to judge) for level 3 chargers. Might be an array of double-corded L2s?
  43. S

    Supercharger - San Francisco, CA - 16th St (LIVE 7 Jul 2023, 12 stalls)

Last I was there (a few weeks ago), the sidewalk was closed back up with proper concrete but the empty pad from my previous photos was still awaiting something (possibly a meter). Likely awaiting the transformer as well, but I'm not sure where that will go in (perhaps underground in a vault...
  44. S

Supercharger - San Diego, CA - Genesee Ave (LIVE 23 Jan 2023, 8 stalls)

Doesn't seem like a great location if there's such a parking shortage that people ignore the "charging only" signs.
  45. S

    Supercharger - Mojave, CA - Sierra Hwy (LIVE 18 Aug 2022, 12 V3 stalls)

I wonder if they were all supposed to be on the same side, but some were installed facing incorrectly? Having eight and two seems too weird to be intentional. Anything different about the two on the left, or the places with gaps on the right? ADA stalls need extra space between them, and could...
  46. S

Supercharger - Valencia, CA (LIVE 15 Dec 2022, 8 stalls)

The first photo from this weekend shows part of the 7th, and what looks like the back of signs for both the 7th and 8th.
  47. S

    Supercharger - Lakewood, CA (LIVE 6 Dec 2022, 20 V3 stalls)

That wording is part of the state-standard markings for accessible EV charging stalls, and so at many sites is only applied to them.
  48. S

Supercharger- Bakersfield, CA - 4200 California Ave (probable location found)

Looks like they tried to fix it again and still got it wrong. Copus Rd is back on the map, but its status and that of 4200 California appear to be swapped. Copus Rd (which I'm pretty sure is still open) is now listed as "coming soon" with no estimated opening date.
  49. S

Supercharger- Bakersfield, CA - 4200 California Ave (probable location found)

I assume the Copus Rd location is still open, but it seems to have been completely removed from the findus map; perhaps someone at Tesla thinks they fixed everything but deleted the wrong one.
