Tesla All Weather Protection Kit [mudflaps/ppf] - Anyone in the UK Been Contacted?

Just got an email with my discount code here in Ireland today. €54 credit zeroing out the cost of the kit. I included the asterisk at the end and it still worked.

    Acceleration Boost Ireland

Thanks, that I'd somehow inadvertently excluded myself from acceleration boost by adding the tow package was what I was most worried about. I was in two minds up to order time as to whether I was going for Performance or LR and it was the towing package and the ability to get acceleration boost...

    Acceleration Boost Ireland

I planned to buy Acceleration Boost immediately after getting my LR at the end of March, but it doesn't seem to be available in Upgrades. Curious as to whether anyone else in Ireland has been able to buy Acceleration Boost or if it might be something to do with my ordering the tow package on the...

"Acceleration Boost" option, discussion as to which models and how much quicker

I have a new LR AWD (with towing) in Ireland and I always intended to purchase the acceleration boost after purchase. Just picked it up Friday and I have EAP showing in upgrades but not Acceleration Boost. Car was delivered with 2019.36.2.1 and I upgraded it early Saturday morning to 2020.4.2...

CCS Charging options for Model 3

A UI is not required, CCS supports transmitting a vehicle identifier to the charger over PLC. So CCS can operate cardless in the same way the current superchargers do (CCS AutoCharge): openfastchargingalliance/openfastchargingalliance An example of a network using this ability of CCS is...

CCS Charging options for Model 3

Actually, that's still an open question. It's quite possible that Tesla is not cabling the Type 2 portion for DC internally to save money/cut down on complexity/prepare for higher amperages. If they are planning to go CCS for all new cars in the future... they might as well abandon Tesla Type 2...

Surprised there's no CCS support. Thoughts?

My longest trip has been to Berlin and back, roadtrips to the Netherlands twice. I also take the ferry to the UK or France a couple of times a year and have a 187km round trip commute to work every day. The mileage adds up and I have a pretty tall stack of RFID cards. The ferry from Dublin even...

Surprised there's no CCS support. Thoughts?

Nope, sold as and rated at up to 500v / up to 120A. The Ioniq is actually limited by the rapid charger still when charging a at 62.5kW. But... efacec put out a recent software update which boosted the allow current on DC to 175A at temperatures below 40C. Because the QC45 is installed usually...

Surprised there's no CCS support. Thoughts?

Nope, and it won't be available in my market until almost a year after my model 3 reservation expected delivery. I'd also be be going for a maxed out model 3. I'm well aware of the purpose of DC rapid charging. The model 3 will be my fourth rapid charging equipped EV. I've regularly done trips...

Surprised there's no CCS support. Thoughts?

CCS uses HomePlug GreenPHY for communications. It's actually forwards compatible with HomePlug AV (but locked to 10mbit/s) and uses IPv6 addressing as part of the standard. At least for us in europe CCS is an essential. I'll be cancelling my Model 3 reservation if I can't get it, and solely for...

Model 3 sneak peek in BBC interview? (disproved)

Don't know if I'm the first to notice this.... but look in the background beside the white model X: That's not an S or an X. The lines are all wrong, fog light position is wrong, wing mirrors are wrong and it's a more aggressive design. There also appears to be a larger piece of trim behind...
