    Any news on 100D uncorking?

My 100D got the performance upgrade from a ranger today and he also installed 46.8 at the same time. The vin is 1889xx from March 17. I had it checked and they said it was eligible. Then I got a phone call saying that it was not. And that only 75's were uncorkable. I set an email showing...

    Any news on 100D uncorking?

Received an email from the local SC that my car is eligible for the upgrade. vin 1889XX mfgd in Mar 2017. I stopped in to the SC and asked them to investigate and got the response about 3 hours later. Now I need to schedule a time. I understand it is about a 2 hour job and it has to be at...

    Any news on 100D uncorking?

" boonedocks, Today at 2:00 PM Just received the news as well. From my SA: VIN: 1883** Manufacture date: 02/17" Hmm, been following this thread with interest. The message from boondocks appears to include my car as it is a Mar 2017 with the VIN 1889xx. Looks like a visit to the SC...

So I got the 'easy exit' update this morning. Tried it out as I was looking forward to it. But 'WHAT HO' they made it useless. It activates when you put it into Park. Now it is logical to me to have it activate on opening the drivers door but PARK????? I can't relax in the car when someone gets...

    Firefox constantly "loading" page

When that is going on, there is a small x on the right side of the URL. Just 'click' on the x and it will stop. I have not figured out why it does it on some tabs but not others. Probably trying to load an ad. Do you have adblock or noscrip running.

    Homelink transmission strength

Its has been reported that certain LED bulbs in the garage door opener will interfere with the signals. I dont see that mentioned here but you might try removing the bulbs and seeing if things get better. For my part the homelink transmitter in my 100D works from out in the street just fine...

Time to crack her open and get inside the network for AP2

BIgdog, that just sucks. Especially for someone who has faithfully supported the community for a long time. They could have issued a warning rather than just lowering the boom. I sincerely hope this gets resolved in your favor and they realize how much damage to their efforts this could...

Some questions for my new-to-me Model S

There is an icon with circular arrows at a bottom corner of the map screen. touch it and it will put the map on the bottom half. Any other function on the top screen wont cover the icons. Only the map does that (and I wish it didn't).

Got New Primacy Tires on the Rear and now Car handles Weird...

Do you have the same tires on the front. If different mfger or just a different model tire from the same company, that can cause problems exactly as described due to different sidewall flexibility.

    Software version 17.34 2448cfc

I got 34. a couple of days ago. Only been doing short errands since. Have been very impressed with the 'in town' performance. Smoothly goes through intersections, tracked well on a road with only a double yellow in the center and no side lines at all. Kept a good clearance to the center...

My car randomly turned itself on. WTF?

All these happenings seem to have occurred in the same time frame. Sense our apps only command the Tesla Servers to activate something on the car to happen (that is why you need a cell connection to use the app) it would seem to be not an individual car issue. Makes you wonder who has access...

Does the "aero" design in the 18 wheels add any range?

I factor I do not see mentioned is the resistance to damage to potholes or rough transitions. The 18s would be much better in this regard. In fact 17s would be more desirable. Taller sidewalls give greater impact resistance. And in a car with no spare you want to maximize impact...

100KWh battery pack same design as new Model 3?

What jaguar36 said. But in order to get more cells in the S/X 100kwh packs, there was a redesign of the cooling system which slowed things down but it still uses the 18650 cells like all the other S/X packs.

    Quitting Autosteer use

Im also on 17.17.4 with an AP2 car. It has performed exceptionally well up until a few days ago. I had almost exactly the same experience as the OP. Straight road, middle lane of freeway, 65mph, auto lane change disabled, and the car lunged for the left lane with a car beside me. Came...

    Poor rearward visibility?

The rear visibility on an S is, in a word, terrible. However, the rear camera is great and as I am still getting used to the small rear view mirror and the fact that the rear headrests are permanent, I leave the camera on while driving. With the mirrors adjusted properly and a little time, it...

Well, I'm 74 and find the Tesla easy to use. I don't multitask like I used to but that results in paying more strict attention to driving. AP2 is pretty good in that not having to keep in the center of the lane manually, I can concentrate on the other aspects of driving like what that idiot...

Car guy coming from an ICE

Another car guy here. Sold my 6sp V8 M3 and got the Tesla. Before that a 6 sp BMW E39, not to mention in the past a 427 4 sp 1957 Tbird (used to get compliments on the "classic' Tbird because it had THUNDERBIRD on the valve covers (it would turn over a 100 in 3rd gear in a quarter drag))...

What Don't You Like About Your Tesla?

    1. Lack of interior storage (door pockets and back of seat nets or pockets) (sometimes in some places you need a real paper map) 2. Lack of tie down loops in trunk or places to hang cargo nets. 3. Lousy trunk lighting. (yes, I have PUP) 4. Lack of 3.5mm audio input jack. 5. Rear view...

Is the D version model S more efficient than the non D on highway?

The graphic on (Model S | Tesla) shows about 4-6% more efficient as shown by the range calculations. I believe that Tesla noted that the front drive at cruise upped the efficiency at the time they incorporated it.

Need advice on recurrent rotor problems with 2014 Model S

When you brake, do you use your right foot or left foot ?? If it is your right foot, you might be just "touching" the brake pedal while driving. With power brakes you can be dragging the brakes without realizing it. Heat is what causes rotors to warp and a very light drag causes great...

Shot in the dark. Might you be allergic to the fumes given off by the interior?? Although it sounds like you have had the car for awhile and the fumes must have dissipated by now. My wife can hardly stand the smell but the charcoal filters on recirculate seem to be handling it.

RUSH6410 --- I dont think there is a HW2 AP1 option. If you have HW2, you do not have the hardware that supports AP1. That said, if you have HW2 and do not have EAP or FSD then you have ordinary dumb cruise control but that is not AP1. At least this is what I have been led to believe.....

    Tesla Wifi Sux

    James Cooke's Model S Failed
