But at least model 3 turn signal stalk doesn’t engage/click so you don’t need to “unlock” it :-) No worries I think now NN is learning a lot so in couple weeks you will be able to set “auto lane confirm” in options.

Are you model S, X or 3? If model S or X I personally prefer to confirm suggested lane changes by pulling one autopilot stalk instead of turn signal. I feel that way is easier :-) because it is the same for left and right and blinker turns on its own and turns off :-)

it depends how much you are driving a year... I average 50k a year so I figured that paying that much for another year of warranty not worth it. 10k into another year already so fingers crossed for myself for no major issues ;-)

So looks like “navigate on autopilot” or “drive autopilot on navigation” is rolling out widely already.... is it in this 2018.42.2 build that showed up on tracker today? Anyone has it?

I was in similar situation and chose America's Tires... as they provide road hazard insurance... found exactly same tire there too for a bit cheaper price than at SC. That sucks that Tesla doesn't offer road hazard insurance with tires they sell :(

Rear facing radar would most likely make it much easier. I hope they improve calculations in next iteration of this feature :)

@unpollo2 yes you are right about HOV lanes... I noticed the same that even if my exit was like 4 miles ahead after entering freeway autopilot guided a few time to the HOV lane and then back to exit... so basically it was just barely enough time to get to HOV and get our to make it to the exit...

yup, I use OBD port for my BlackVue Cameras... :) and I do even connect small laptop there (I use it as a DVR for black vue cameras so it constantly download videos)... had to install 10A fuse instead of stock 5A for OBD after I blew the fuse :( pain in the ass job to do so as access to inside...

are you sure you have fobs assigned to profiles? You can check under driver profiles... pick driver in settings and there is info "linked to fob1" or "link to fob1" (or similar).... you can reassign fob to different driver profile by clicking on another profile and then you can assign current...

Lucky you... after installing 17.17.4 on 5/6 morning I had AP features working and no "cruise not available"... on 5/7 whole day and about 200 miles I had all day "cruise not available" :( thankfully next day (today) 5/8 I have all AP features working fine whole day and about 200 miles...

17.17.4 doesn't fix driver assistance features like autosteer and cruise still goes away... I got 17.17.4 installed yesterday morning and AP features were working fine... but today in the morning I had to drive about 150 miles and all driver assistance features were unavailable... car did not...

no other tips as just be careful and try to get feel of each side of the opening and try to feel where it holds and pull gently to get clips off...

it is really hard to pull this piece of carpet... I was able to remove it from the bottom from the floor side... there is a way to pull it and I tried to pull down and out... and it came off the clips... the trick is there is one clip close to the tablet that holds carpet with console piece...

I just realized when reading that some of you guys either confuse two different things or just use the wrong terms :) there are 2 completely different things on Model X: tow mode and trailer mode.... Tow mode is for Model X being towed by some other vehicle. Trailer mode is for actualy Model X...

well as long as you careful enough you can just go to settings while car detects trailer mode and just turn it off... so it becomes amber in dashboard instead of blue... it is called accessory hitch mode, so in this mode autosteer is enabled... however depending what you towing you need to be...

@ab26 nope, my AP was going out for a few days every few days on previous 8.1 firmwares (17.10.11 and 17.14.23).... so far still no autopilot on 17.14.35 yet...

oh boy... it was hell of job to get this fuse replaced! geeez... hard to remove this piece of carpet on this plastic panel to get access and access to the fuse is real hard too... I impressed you were able to figure out which fuse was blown! If not your feedback I wouldn't be able to get this...

I installed 17.14.35 last night and drove today around 150 miles but my AP features are not available starting with just right after new firmware was installed. it is already evening and not planning to drive anymore today so hopefully AP will come back tomorrow on new firmware... side note, AP...
