How long did it take you to get used to the stalk-less turn signals?

It actually makes sense for CT. Steer by wire. Now just need steer by wire for other vehicles.

How long did it take you to get used to the stalk-less turn signals?

Stalks will exist for it either by 3rd party like what the s3xy button company is working on and releasing (supposedly next month?) or Tesla will bring them back. Either way, this discussion will ultimately not matter…just like with the yoke today.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

The Covid prices are skewing the situation. I suspect in a few years, things will hopefully normalize.

    The demise of the OEMs

I don’t like sending so much money to the Middle East for oil/gas. Even the “drill baby drill” option sends money over there. The Saudis 100% own the largest US refinery.

Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

When it dropped in 2022, almost everything else did too. But this time we are dropping with others at or near ATH. That’s the major difference. But I still think Musk and the board is doing okay and I still would take him over any other auto CEO. There is quite a bit of advertising (at least...

    The demise of the OEMs

I think European car companies are going strong on EVs because their governments are pushing full ahead with no major slowdowns. In the US, I think a lot hinges on this election on wether legacy auto will push as much. The mindset and oil companies in the US is quite strong against EVs. I...

Wiki Selling TSLA Options - Be the House

Transferring a FSD license and FUSC is a great way to keep customers. That should always be the policy.

I continue to be amazed at the hatred for EVs

I would prefer EV mandates and subsidies didn’t exist. That would remove the “being forced by govt” viewpoint. But that also applies to removing gas subsidies. If we were paying over $7 per gallon of gas, people would switch real quick.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

I must say, there will definitely be competition for the Tesla bot. That figure01 bot looks very expensive but also very impressive. Hopefully Tesla can get the AI there. I’m less enthusiastic now about the Teslabot being a windfall for Tesla due to the AI not being there. The folding...

Yes there are other items like that. Never said anything about BTC being the only non-beneficial item out there. It’s just on the pile with the rest of the non-beneficial items. But it will probably go to a million or more and make lots of people rich at the expense of pollution. Yay. /s

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Crypto has only benefited people because they bought into it or mined it at a lower price. If it was currently worth a penny per BTC, no one would bother with it. Nothing else beneficial is PRODUCED from it. It’s “worth” a lot because many are just chasing it to get rich. No other reason. I...

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

Crypto currency has produced one thing extremely well. Waste. It creates significant pollution, uses extreme amounts of electricity and computer hardware. Just when we make some strides reducing pollution and waste in some areas, we come up with another “invention” to cause much more of it.

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

I wouldn’t own an EV if I couldn’t charge at home or work. And I didn’t say that superchargers are not full. I said that Tesla is working on building more. Sorry about your divorce. Hopefully your situation improves soon.

I wouldn’t write your review as is. Remove your over the top ridiculous comments like “pos” and it would probably be just fine.

Drive unit damaged after driving in heavy rain -- SC won't cover under warranty

Yeah unfortunately there were definitely some glaring design flaws early on. Like having the AC drain on top of the battery. It seems many are sorted out now. One of the problems with being an early adopter I guess. Tesla should have done more to cover that issue though. If one day I need...

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

Tesla’s intent is to accelerate the transition. Not keep a moat to try and keep sales. And there are several new sites under construction in LA. (Orange triangles). And proposed locations (blue). Of course some locations are marked for quite a while before going active. By having more...

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

Yes the extension cord would be great for people that are even just hauling bikes behind their vehicle on a hitch. And Tesla is adding new supercharger locations at a very good pace. I read a new location roughly every 12 hours. I’m sure quite a few Tesla owners will buy a non Tesla now that...

    Honest review of the Cybertruck

You are correct on that. The chances of us driving one (or even seeing one in person), is very low at this point. Still doesn’t change my opinion of your opinion. There are quite a few reviews out there now and most say it handles well and quite a bit of other praise. And no, they often...

    Honest review of the Cybertruck

I take the overt outliers with a grain of salt. (Positive or negative) Especially when they declare things like the vehicle is a “pos”, or “perfect”.

The Cybertruck's fatal flaw that they don't want you to know:

Are these control arms made from all the same material? Perhaps different alloys require different thicknesses? I would think control arms would need to have certain minimum standards. Is this the wompy wheel guy all over again? Lol

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

It is good to know that Tesla is working on a NACS to NACS supercharger extension cord that people can purchase. Hopefully ford owners buy one.
  36. S

Refresh Model S. Would you purchase again?

They are allowing people to transfer their FSD license and FUSC this quarter. It should be transferable all the time. Great way to retain customers.

How is it Possible my 2023 MYLR Trade in value is so low?

The performance version has less range than the long range. Part of that is the tires. The tires can be swapped out for 19. An EV does require more stops than gas cars. Especially when doing 95 mph.

    Russia/Ukraine conflict

As much as I’m annoyed by our US govt acting the way they are towards Ukraine, it’s good to see some other countries step up.
  39. S

How is it Possible my 2023 MYLR Trade in value is so low?

You are doing the absolute worst things possible for range. 21” tires and 95 mph?!?! Mileage goes down exponentially as speed increases. I don’t think an EV is right for you.

I don’t know about you all but I have seen a LOT of Tesla ads on YouTube lately (yes I’m too cheap to get a YT membership). How is it Possible my 2023 MYLR Trade in value is so low?

I’ve driven my 2017 Tesla model S 90D from Nova Scotia to Montana to Florida. Not once have I had to go extremely slow to make it to a charge. And I’ve also done road trips from southern Michigan to Mackinaw (~250 miles) in -12F doing 80 to 85. I can make that trip without charging in summer...

Ford says owners can start using superchargers today (Feb 29)

There are places in MI for me that have CCS only like copper harbor. Also I upgraded my car for that CCS adapter so it can speak the true NACS protocol. I’ve read that is needed if you plan to charge at 3rd party charges even for NACS because they use a diff protocol than native Tesla.

    Elon's views

I wouldn’t say Elon simply loves a winning side. If anything, he seems to take on challenges most likely to fail. Elon has said things I don’t agree with. But the media amplifies and twists things dramatically.

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

Yes. And in that context, the statement made sense. Especially before Covid. And it hasn’t helped that FSD keeps getting pushed out. Elon has also said that prices during Covid were embarrassingly high and that he hopes to lower prices in the future. Which they did do.

    From Y to Audi e-tron: a Comparison

Getting someone on the phone at a dealership? Easy. Getting someone that knows about EVs to work on your car at that dealership??? I go to Belle Tire for tires for my Model S. Never an issue. They work on many Teslas.

Tesla, TSLA & the Investment World: the Perpetual Investors' Roundtable

People’s attitude is definitely driven by stock price far more than Tesla fundamentals. People were celebrating about possibly buying islands when the PE was over a thousand.
