Everything is still turned off. Not sure when they’ll turn on the switch.

    App update interval

Thanks for replying. I didn’t feel like having another long customer service call if it just turned out that my system is operating like it’s supposed to. I guess I’ll give them a call and leave an update here with what they say.

    App update interval

When we first had our solar installed the app wasn’t reporting any info about the array. When we called support, they added the gateway to our account and we started seeing our energy use, however the solar still wasn’t showing up, only grid and home energy use. Eventually, after several calls...

Energy in 2 powerwall drained from 100% down to 5%

Don’t forget inverter losses. It’s why it’s always better to use power directly from solar vs charging the Powerwalls and then using the energy later.

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

I actually already posted pictures in this thread back in 2016 and linked to them again in a post on this page. I'm on my phone now, but take a look at post #127 in this thread to see how it looks. And look at #983 to see where I already linked back to these photos.

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

I spoke with my service center about it again yesterday after I told them I didn't accept what they said about it being "in spec" and no one had gotten back to me about it previously. They called me back and left a message saying that they could "meet me half way" on the issue. I'm planning on...

    Supercharger - Tigard, OR

Just thought I would add, it's in the parking garage near the Tesla store and near where Tesla already charges their test drive cars, not near Sears.

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

My 2016 X is in the shop, and they told me they have a "test" to see if the windshield was "in spec"... Came back as "in spec" and they won't do a replacement. This is my post (#127) from 2016 about the issue when I first brought it to Tesla's attention: Double vision (ghosting) at night...

Lack of battery heater may cause very slow SuC charging speed

I guess I didn't realize that was the case. Do you have a link to that? Because under normal freeway driving (cruising), it would take about 30 minutes or so to warm up the pack. It would be an incredibly efficient motor if it was unable to provide sufficient heat to the battery pack!

Lack of battery heater may cause very slow SuC charging speed

If you're driving to a supercharger, it's likely your battery is warm enough for full speed charging already. The battery heater in the S/X takes about 30 minutes to get a cold-soaked pack to 12c according to another post. You're better off racing your car around for 10 or 15 minutes to get...

Wow, Model X HVAC (AC) Consumption

I would love to hear an update about this, the A/C on my X is embarrassingly loud as well, even on moderately warm days..

    MX FWD Opens While Away

It would be GREAT if you could be notified by the app of an open door when you go out of fob range. Totally do-able too! The car knows when a door is open, and the car knows when no fob is nearby.. They could put the option right in here. Tesla, make it happen!

    MX FWD Opens While Away

This has absolutely happened to me twice!! One time it was raining out and luckily there wasn't much wind so nothing inside got wet (I knew the falcon wings were good for something!) and the second time it was a similar situation. Kind of scary when you go outside and see the door wide open...

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

I just wanted to add that since owning a Model X with misalignments, I have been eagle eyed when it comes to other cars. Today I was watching a video (MotorTrend Head 2 Head) between a Model X and a Bentley Bentayga, and the Bentley had some misaligned chrome!! Or a misaligned door? So I feel a...

    Supercharger - Bend, OR

Does anyone know what the usual timeline for construction is? When this will be open? It looks like they've gotten most of the equipment there, so does it make sense for it to be done in the next week or so? Just curious as I've been itching to get out to bend these days.

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

Wow, that sounds fantastic. I hope when my car finally gets in that they will do the same. To be fair, my SC has been nice to deal with, they just seemed like they didn't know what they were going to do about the alignment issues, and were worried it would be too difficult to correct.
  19. K

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

Meanwhile my SC still won't call me back. At least they answer when I call and seem to always tell me "one more week, we're still waiting on a part and we think it will be here by then, and then we can schedule you". :(

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

That's a good thing to point out, and I'm aware of it. It was more of a comparison so people know that it's not my camera lens, or the light, also some people mentioned that it might be visible through any type of glass, so I just wanted to give as close a comparison as I could without driving...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

I think annoying is a good word for it. I can ignore it for a little while, but then a car brakes in front of me, or I come up to an intersection with 3 particularly bright red lights, and I feel like I'm having to refocus my eyes or I'm looking through a slightly dirty window.. It comes from...

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

This is exactly the same kind of stuff that is wrong with my X. I couldn't believe that the car could be so fantastic in the engineering of so many complicated components, but be so utterly lacking in more simple areas like trim. I guess you have to chalk it up to an inexperienced, recently...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

In my windshield, it's definitely not within what should be expected, and I've tried looking through the windshield at different angles and still see it to a similar degree. I also took photos through the window in my door to show what a regular window should look like. I've never seen this...

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

Thanks Mark, I'm actually desperate to compare with other Model Xs in my area. I wonder if we could form some sort of meet up so that we could compare problems and issues and try to figure out what is an issue and what is just design. Any owners in the Portland area interested in a meet-up? A...

5/25? I wonder if all the service centers are getting overloaded between doing the detailing on new MXs and dealing with current MX issues.

March 31st with a March 27th manufacturing date... I will reply later with some photos so you guys can see the issues in some more detail.

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

I purchased mine. So yeah, I would like the alignment and chrome issues to be fixed. The tech at the SC just kept saying things like "it's very complicated" in regards to the FWD alignment, and even mentioned "setting expectations" of what is possible to fix. :( So that's why I'm asking in...

How far will Tesla go to fix alignment issues (doors, chrome trim, etc.)

I'm curious about other owners' experiences with Tesla so far with fixing door alignment issues as well as trim alignment and front windows alignment. I'm still waiting for the service center to set an appointment for my car, they are "waiting for a part to come in" and have "no indication" on...

What is the correct maximum battery charge to set? 85%,90%,95%,97%

My X spends most of its time plugged in, so I keep my charge a little lower since I also don't need the range. Lately I've been doing 70% and it's been difficult mentally (I like to see a full battery for purely aesthetic reasons), but practically I still don't drive enough to see my charge fall...

What is the correct maximum battery charge to set? 85%,90%,95%,97%

Just a note: Tesla recommends that you keep your car plugged when not in use so the battery management system can heat or cool the battery pack to keep it at an optimal temperature.

First road trip in your MX

Maybe some back-of-the-envelope math is in order. Doesn't make sense considering it's adding to energy overhead and is unrelated to distance traveled. It's more like wh/hour. For that back-of-the-envelope math: Since you're limited to 12v with those power sockets, and up to 11 amps for...

Thoughts on Prepaid Service and Extended Warranty

I was never offered a service plan or warranty for my X. When were they supposed to offer that to me?
  34. K

Hypothetical: What if the 100D gets announced?

Ouch, that would hurt a little. Although in my opinion, the area that Tesla needs to work on most is their communication. I would've been totally fine waiting longer for my car as long as they were letting me know along the way what was going on and why so I'm not sitting in the dark all the...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

To be fair: The name of this thread didn't have the word "ghost" in it, the issue was referred to as double vision until it was recently updated. Also this thread was no longer on the front page of the Model X forum, it would have taken clicking through pages to find it (likely page 2?). Also...

X Back from SC! I might have found a way to duplicate the front door problem.

I am also with @ohmman and @sukhi, I don't baby my front doors at all. I do have to fight them sometimes when they don't open enough, or when I want to close them right after opening. But I've never had any issues with the latches because of that. One time the passenger side window was rolled...

Hypothetical: What if the 100D gets announced?

Well, with autopilot the hardware was activated at a later date by a software update, and for awhile before that they began installing the hardware for everyone with the option to pay for activation. If they installed a 100kwh battery in my car with the option to "activate" the last 10kwh, that...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

My VIN is 44XX, so that supports your theory. Perhaps there was a supplier change? Or a supplier to the supplier changed? Eh, who knows.
  39. K

Hypothetical: What if the 100D gets announced?

I've been thinking about it, and from the 90D to the 100D it would be about 11% additional battery capacity, assuming that translates directly to additional range, the 90D would get about an additional 28 miles in range. Is that worth $6,000? I'm thinking not...

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

Because he didn't link it, here is the link to the thread. I posted some photos of the issue for my X on Page 7, and there are more photos on page 1 and 2 so you can judge for yourself. It's kind of like driving around with a dirty windshield all the time at night.
  41. K

Hypothetical: What if the 100D gets announced?

You're probably right, it's just so close to my delivery date (3/31) for there to already be an upgrade on a brand new model.
  42. K

Hypothetical: What if the 100D gets announced?

If a 100D comes out, I'm hoping Tesla will allow current X 90D owners the option of upgrading their batteries at cost ($6,000?). I would've liked the option to get a 100D, but missed out because I ordered early. :(

CHAdeMO adapter sold out. New adapter coming?

Looks like the CHAdeMO adapter is back in stock. I guess my dreams of a smaller, cheaper adapter are crushed.. I'll probably get one anyway, it seems like the easiest way to travel the Oregon Coast and through Central Oregon.
  44. K

What is the correct maximum battery charge to set? 85%,90%,95%,97%

I've been wanting people's thoughts on this as well, I've been setting mine to 80% , but have been considering 70% or 60% since I don't need the extra range on a daily basis and assume the lower SOC is better (if slightly) for the longevity of the battery.
  45. K

Double vision (ghosting) at night through windshield?

Here are some photos I took to show the issue on my windshield. I added arrows but I think it's quite obvious. The left is through my driver's side window, right is through the windshield. I thought I could ignore it at first, but when I drove home from Seattle last weekend all the tail...

How do I find a inexpensive electrician?

I called one of the Tesla recommended electricians in the Portland area and he quoted me $1300-$1600 for the 80a HPWC right next to the panel in my garage... I should mention, when I was asking him about getting an EVSE installed, he immediately asked "Is it for a Tesla?"

Actually, you can filter by plug type.

Can you really park next to another car and still open Falcon Wing doors?

I think David means that there are situations where you might be too close to another car to be able to open the front or passenger door wide enough to fit in, while the falcon wing doors will be fine.
  49. K

CHAdeMO adapter sold out. New adapter coming?

I'm thinking they are "Sold Out" because they are releasing a new adapter, at least I'm hoping they are, and I'm hoping it's cheaper. I was about to buy an HPWC when they were sold out, and now it's new and cheaper.
