Electricity prices in Europe are also a multiple of the cost of electricity in the US. When looking at the cost per mile based on fuel consumption a Tesla is not that much better than a Diesel (when considering european prices).
My drivers side door handle on my 2014 MS is acting up. What is happening is that when I unlock the car and the handles extract the door pops open. The same when I put the car in park the handles extract and the door pops open. Same thing happening when unlocking with the keyfob. I think its...
I can't get my Model 3 to learn my community gate opener. I already tried fresh batteries. It did learn my regular garage opener with no problems. Any one else had this issue ? Any suggestions ? My model S had no problem learning both remotes btw so I think the Model 3 would/should do as well.
Now that Hurricane Irma has passed I would really like to get a generator or an Inverter. I would prefer the Inverter for the Car as I wouldn't have to deal with any gas. But I'd need at least a 1000 Watt version. This is the one I am eyeballing...
Selling my Chademo Adapter as I have only used it twice and I really don;t need it. It was updated to the latest firmware when my car was serviced a few months ago.
I am selling for $400 plus $19 shipping via USPS Flat Rate Box. Payment via Paypal friends and Family only.
I was wondering why Tesla doesn't use a more efficient way such as a heat pump for the cabin heater as the resistance heater eats up the Range significantly. I am sure there is a reason other than cost, does anyone know ?
So my Tesla is out of warranty and I just had Tire Kingdom put on new Rear Tires yesterday.
I have asked them if they would do alignments on a Tesla and they checked their system if they had the specs for it. They came back with a yes. He admitted they have never done one on Tesla before but...
So excited: this will be my second long Tesla Road trip. Will be travelling from Tampa, FL to Greenville, SC.
I have a P85 and will be taking the route through Atlanta and will be skipping Ocala on the way up. I am also thinking of skipping Macon but I am not sure about that one yet.
Will be...
I have a P85+ and I recently drove the Battery down to 1% and then charged it overnight to 100%. Per Remote S app I added 71Kwh to the Battery. Is there a way to tell how much my battery degraded over time with this information? I am not sure how accurate the 71KwH added from Remote S is.
So on the old maps I was always able to see the energy to the destination and also return to the origin when touching the directions segement at the bottom og the screen. IN 8.0 I can't find that anymore anywhere when using a saved destination. It still appears when you type in an address...
My UMC gets incredibly hot when charging at 30-40 amps. Mainly the cable between the wall Plug and the UMC. It gets piping hot and from what I am hearing that is considered normal. Service center checked it and says that is normal. The Wiring Cable going to the 14/50 outlet only warms up very...
I went on my first long road trip from Tampa, FL to Greenville, SC.
On the way back home I stopped at the Santee, SC Supercharger and continued my trip after the trip planner told me. Actually I always added an extra 5%. Anyway shortly after continue driving on I-95 the GPS tried to reroute me...
One thing I am realy missing on the Tesla app is the ability to search a Map location on my phone and send it to the tripplanner and be able to see what superchargers it would hit etc on my phone. I guess that would be something to add to the wishlist.....
Are there already companies that convert our existing Tesla Battery packs into a home storage solution? Expecting that my pack P85 will still have more than 50% storage capacity in 8-10 Years I would think it makes sense to use the Pack as a large powerwall ? Has anyone done anything like this...
Just a question regarding the 80% load on continous draw.
Why wouldn't the car charge at full load 3 hours and then ramp down to 80%, especially on low charging cirquits Like the Nema 5-15 or Nema 5-20 that are often only used to get a little charge in to reach a supercharger or such it would...
So I am kind of lost on what is causing the car reducing the charging amps. I usually arrive home around 5ish in the afternoon to a piping hot Florida Garage. The car starts charging at 40 amps and 248 Volts and once it's ramped up the Service voltage is around 242Volts. The car keeps charging...
My version of the Quick 220.
Charges safely at 12 amps continuously. Of course the car has to be dialed down to 12 amps and one should know what they are doing when handling.
Hi,
I currently have the stock staggered setup with 265's in the rear in 245's in the front.
Can I put 245's on the rear rim without buying another rim ? When I check at tirerack I don't even get that choice when selecting my model car. Also if I can can I the rotate them as well ?
I am somewhat disappointed as it almost feels like I have bought a lemon.
My 12V Battery has been replaced about 8 months ago. Then two months ago my car send me an charging interrupted message via the phone app. When I checked the car showed 12V battery issue, car needs service and car may not...
Hi,
I will be a proud owner of a Model S soon.
I am trying to decide between two almost identical P85+.
The first one is fully loaded with absolutely everything and is a Modelyear 2014 with already 68000 miles (all new tires).
The second one is identical without the optional winter package...
