That's me priced out of a Models S

Your maths is a little out Vitold: $100,000 @ 1.53 = £65,360 $100,000 @ 1.43 = £69,930 That's a £4570 differential, nowhere near $10,000 (more like $6500) However, before we get bogged down in exchange rates etc. I'll just say that I think the Model S is a truly great car. I've had two test...

That's me priced out of a Models S

Yes we do get a government subsidy, it's currently $6480 USD (recently reduced from $7200 USD.) It has a limited lifespan and is due to run out some time in 2017 I believe. Don't get me wrong, I understand the car has been developed and is built in the USA and so I expect to pay a premium for a...

That's me priced out of a Models S

I very much doubt that it will make a difference one way or the other. Certainly not in the short/medium term. I find the talk surrounding a potential BREXIT reminiscent of the talk that surrounded the Millennium Bug. A lot of talk forecasting potential disaster, which in the end turned out to...

That's me priced out of a Models S

Evie'sDad....... yes we know why the price has increased. But you seem to missing the fact that over here in the UK the price increase is over $6000. Do you honestly think the revamp items you list above are worth that increase? I don't, which is why I won't be buying a Tesla! You might well...

That's me priced out of a Models S

Vital: Very true. In essence it's almost impossible to compare EV with ICE. The value you put on new technology or not polluting the planet is hard to quantify. As I said, I hope to be persuaded in time and even happy to pay a premium to do so. But not at the current price differential...

That's me priced out of a Models S

I hear what you're saying J1mbo. It's not that I can't afford the car, it's that in my opinion it doesn't represent value for money. Other's will disagree of course, but for £90,000 I want more a more luxurious environment in which to drive. For that sort of money I can get in a nicely...

That's me priced out of a Models S

I'm out too!! Not just because of the price rise, but that was the final nail in the coffin. It's a nice car, but for me it doesn't justify the price tag when I compare what else I can get for the money (and £90,000 gets you a very nice motor, even allowing for having to pay for fuel!) I...

UK price increase due on 1st April

Well it seems we have to wait no more, the updated prices and Model S facelift has been released! Just been onto the Tesla website and seen the remodelled front end and spec changes: led driving lights, HEPA filter and charger upgrade options. The car spec I was looking at has increased from...

UK price increase due on 1st April

Well....... Sunday has come and gone and still no price change! At least Tesla's communications are consistent!! It's a shame they can't keep to their proposed timetable, it really doesn't install confidence in their marketing/communications department. tfboy, you must be wondering what to do...

UK price increase due on 1st April

Just had a reply from Tesla: "..... due to the strong interest in the model 3 the IT team were unable to change the prices. The site crashed a few times. The price increase will now take place on Sunday (April 10th)....."

UK price increase due on 1st April

I agree, no price increase! Just checked my message from the Tesla associate and it definitely stated that the price increase would be on the 1st April. Will be giving them a call tomorrow. This puts into question the honesty of anything they may tell me in future. Not impressed!!!!

UK price increase due on 1st April

Hi all Not sure if this is common knowledge (apologies if it is) but thought I'd post that UK Tesla prices are due to increase on 1st April. I had a text message from my Tesla sales advisor earlier today, no doubt gently trying to convince me to order a car! No idea what the price increase...
