    Design Studio - model3config.com (unofficial)

I am pretty bored of the tesla color palate on the S/X. I hope with the Model 3 they introduce more fun and interesting colors than the du-jour black/white/silver/gray. The current champagne/titanium colour reminds me of my grandmother's Honda Accord. Why not mix in some fun colors like electric...

Anyone want to team up on a savings thread to keep each other motivated?

Currently have $12,160 saved (including the $1,000 deposit). I am hoping to be at 20k by year's end. My budget is around 45k including taxes/delivery/etc. I plan on saving the full price of the car by the time I take delivery (who knows when that will be).

Anyone want to team up on a savings thread to keep each other motivated?

I am strongly against financing for vehicles, boats, toys, hobbies, house upgrades, etc. so I will save until I can pay in full. Lets say you finance a 30K chunk of your 45k Tesla at the lowest possible rate of 2.00%. At the end of a 6 year term you'll have paid $1,861 to the bank. That's a lot...

How About a "Maximum Plaid" Model 3?

The M3 is not a boutique car like the S or X, it is going to be a maximum volume production car. Anything that slows down production will get the axe unless they do a special production run years down the line, in which case the new roadster may already be out. I expect Tesla will offer the dual...

Did anybody else frame their Model 3 thank you gift?

What an awesome idea, I am going to frame mine and hang it in my office. It will help motivate me to save up $$ for the Model 3.

Model S/X Owners Have Priority Model 3 Orders Over Non-Owners

I don't buy the "quirks/bugs" argument stating that current owners are less likely to complain about bugs in the initial batches of M3s. Loyal fans who have been drooling after Teslas for years and are willing to camp overnight in front of their Tesla store, or sit in front of their PC at work...

Model S/X Owners Have Priority Model 3 Orders Over Non-Owners

I should also say for non-owners this kills a lot of the fun of going to the store (like at an apple event) because you know there are tons of people in front of you with priority. The whole point of going to the store the day of is to among the first in line.

Model S/X Owners Have Priority Model 3 Orders Over Non-Owners

This is a major buzz kill for me, because I can't afford an S/X (student loans are the death of my generation). It basically means that there's no way for non-owners to get the car with any sort of rebate, even if the car ships on time, and existing wealthy owners who already received a rebate...
